  3. Steve, [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ES5GN9k7BZw]try this[/ame]. A mate made one, for like £5, had few bits and bobs but cheap. He modded that principle a bit, just made it neater but works the same as another chaps trx....
  4. I love swimming.... As many have said, just climb/work (push yourself when you start flagging) its gets you work fit... Gyms and set works outs mentally I just can't hack. They bore me. But swimming considering how tough on our joints Our work is its a great way of getting your stamina up and giving you a good cardio work out with minimal impact on your joints. I don't run cause it kills my knees but I can swim for hours.... But I really found pushing myself at work, getting the RRAAWWRRR mentality, and really push yourself at work does wonders.
  5. good to hear, cheers all
  6. Hey folks, So i know quite a few of you have had them for a while now, and I know you liked them when you got them... But now its been a year/few months how are they all holding up.... Still waterproof, still in one piece? Interested to know your opinions now some time has passed and they have had a good work out. cheers all!
  7. Seeing is believing I guess. Send us one for Africa to try out? I will reserve my judgement till then.... either way good luck with your product.
  8. I don't like to slate kit as each to their own but every silverbull bag i have owned/worked with has fallen apart.... I currently keep my rope/harness in a sherill tree bag and rest of bits and bobs in a big gelert exped bag. These two i'm happy with ATM.... Know a few climbers (rock and tree) who use the BD haul bags and boy are they hardcore. Alot of money but looks like they will out live the climbers.
  9. Good Job

  14. OUCHHHH! For £15 my harrisons been going for years. Has it smashed/damaged any bark yet? I can imagine it would, with out a cover which i'm guessing is an add on?
  15. Petzl head torches win for me... I use a tikka, the top model cant remember the exact name but done few night jobs and it was sweet. Ultra as skip said is a mint headtorch but you pay for it
  16. Fear of the unknown..... I won't rant about CE. But it seems the world is intent on eradicating common sense and personal skill/knowledge. I have had people tell my splices are no where near as safe as a double fishermans....... My AP video proves them wrong. But who am I to say what is safe for ME to climb on....
  17. Whats RRP on it Paul? All that jazz makes me think it would be pretty pricey...

  24. Ye pic would help skip if you wouldnt mind, I've only ever felt the need for assistance on sirius as found the cover super tight! Rest of the ropes I splice I generally don't have any issues with bar maybe OP which has a split personality but iv'e always managed.
  25. Tuttle and Skip, have you guys got a pic of how you use your mech advantage when splicing? Are you using it on a prussick or to keep tension in the eye? Cheers
