  6. instagram for iphone. Its great little app. give it a go ben, i noticed no real difference but we tie our hitches slightly diff etc so have a play
  7. So climbed on both over last few days and didnt notice much difference, poly is possible that little bit more responsive as its abit more flexi than the spectra core, but no major difference imo.
  8. I nip out the odd strand when core is in the fid, helped bury the core when passing it through the throat. OP should be sectioned, Its got a split personality!

  10. 20g piano wire is what you want. Piano wire
  11. Good first effort! You obv know what to work on, go forth and conquer!
  12. Will let you know when i climb on both this week, The poly feels more supple both at the splice and through out the rope, all be it only slightly over the standard.
  13. Good stuff AP looks loverrrlyy! Hows the 10mm on your cinch bro? Looking at some for a short lanyard, also looking at a cinch, how do you like it?
  14. I find extracting the core much easier and neater, and the buries are a lot easier, I think spectra creates more friction on itself and the cover than the poly making it tougher going during the buries. The poly just slides through easily. All in all easier at every stage and the poly doesn't wreck your scissors! All in all very pleased with it and will splice it over standard AP any day, even though that's easy enough!
  15. Do it Ben, although self tying vt may shave seconds of your day ! The burys are just a simple tug and its done!! So easy it makes you wonder how it doesn't just slip back out!! It doesn't of course!!
  16. Cool what phones can do these days!!
  17. I'll check it out, cheers bob!!
  18. Want to do mine too haha

    Its so easyy!

Class 1 is much shorter anyhow! My cover taper is 5/4/5/4 and so on, and my 1st bury is around 4 inches, that obviously reduces when its been cut and tapered and sucked back into the cover and my 2nd is 8 strands from cross over!! Drew will hopefully churp up on this as id be interested to know what he does too, i might be wrong but i thought he'd reduced his fid length to around 20x dia instead of 24! But don't quote me on that!

Cheers bro! Varies from rope to rope and person to person. I like AP 8mm and OP 8mm hitch cord although AP wins for sure, I climb on tachyon. Both splices are class 1.
