  1. I like that stitching Craig very suave, are you just using two lengths through same needle. That snakeskin? looks ace, would match my orange tachyon nicely! I best pester HB's to stock it here! whats the core made from?
  2. i'm told by reliable sources to take as much as you can, not cheap out there. all the best!
  3. I think a lot of young people are missing basic skills though like changing a tire or sharpening a knife. at 10 y/o I could sharpen and use a knife safely, make safe almost any firearm, light a fire, boil a kettle.... I clearly remember being shouted at by a mates mom at like 14/15 for making a brew, apparently hot waters dangerous. Society is turning kids into 1st world cotton wool adults without letting them be kids and learn about limits and consequences and learn basic life skills. That's just my opinion having lived in Africa till 13 I could make a good comparison. I'm 24 now, still a youth mind so I shouldn't get to wise wordy! Great ingenuity there I think! I'm sure a lot of famous inventors were called numpties at some point!

  6. Only for thorn... annoyance even then, opted for welders gauntlets for thorn. Just my opinion
  7. Sailmakers needles, I use the medium for AP snapped my little ones, but will get more. Not sure on size i'm afraid. You maybe trying to put it through the cross over, make sure you've buried the cross over sufficiently. Also bending the throat of the splice and a rubber mallet help to loosen up the fibers! I use thinner twine for my AP 0.5mm maybe 1mm, i'll check n let you know tomorrow.

    Crazy finds

Not as cool as a bomb or pit but this shovel stayed where the owner let it before he passed away. Made me think about nature will always precede us...

  10. Make sure you zero it out well and make sure your marks are spot on. That should help. I'm sure somelse will give you tips on that.
  11. Yep the waterproof stuff the printer gave me to try went yellow and blistered slightly, Are you using the really thin stuff, almost like the wrapper on a coke bottle? A name would be top! As for rope making trad, can't help you there, google it. Im sure it'll turn up something

Haha yes, I never footlock but as far as comps go its a factor I guess. I won't be working them too hard bro so they better last, either way for the price i'm chuffed, if they fall apart its Scarpa time, can't get salewa's here! They look sweet.
  19. 192t owns, I love mine with a small 12in pole pruner bar! 200 for dismantles, 201 not up to par with 200 imo, doesn't seem to have the grunt!

Excellent boots these! Ganda Guides Super grippy, fit like a glove, nice sticky flat sole great for footlocking. They look and feel pretty durable but time will tell. A steal at £110 notes of ebay, brand new!
  23. VT's a great knot but each to their own! I often use a Knut too, basically a HC and what ever hitch you prefer:thumbup:
