  1. Nice one Marcus... Iv'e done the same, with bands, it still tends about 1inch from the hitch, but yes would be better with no flop...
  2. Oh for sure, the weight of a stiff is no issue, purely the thimble but that's me being picky. Can't see me using a flexible tether.
  3. Good gaff gaurds and a stien spike bag sorted that for me..... But dragged mine out a truck only to tear it on a bit if metal.. Bottoms dual layer so its cool still watertight, But ye those stien bags are worth £15 to save ya holdall!
  4. ye bro, said in another thread next one will be a nylon one, I agree, it is heavy.. and i like my teeth as they are.. But blingyy! Just can't believe I haven't wrenched sooner, only climbed on in 3/4 days and I'm addicted! So looking forward to wrenching epic trees in Africa.
  5. The bulky section of stitching under the "up" logo stops the wrench dropping on to your hitch, incase anyone wondering..
  6. Cheer bro, i took about an inch or two out jut to get the bury, then pulled it through and tapered it, an reburied! Tried to keep the cover intact to help the stitchings effectiveness, just tapered the core
  7. IF i remember right Kevin used a bit of cobra spreader cut down and taped up to give rigidity!
  8. The idea... The finished job.... Maybe nulon thimble would be better and more teeth friendly?? Its so doesnt really get near my face though.
  9. 10mm ocean poly and 6mm ocean vectran...
  10. I really like this.... Still playing around with idea's but this concepts working great atm..
  11. Ok so here it is, will be making a new one soon bit more refined... So will post pics then! But until then, i stitched some 8mm op into a loop, i then put the 6mm ov into the thimble.. Then extracted the core from a few inches of each leg leaving the thimble, leaving the core on the thimble and about an inch after exiting the thimble! I then buried the ov cover under the op cover. Once buried i stitched them and shrink wrapped Make sense?

  17. Made it up the other evening, Worked a treat today Find having the thimble makes for a quicker and cleaner clip in, I use my landyard...
