    Jokes???

Good man; my kind of joke. What do you call a boomerang that doesn't come back? For the one person who doesn't know - a stick
  2. Likewise my forearm and it didn't hurt one little bit. Bled like fury but never hurt
  3. Damage limitation commences...
  4. ...and I have no Devon trip arranged Mark; sorry! Jon
  5. I often wonder what life would have been like with a true brother or more: I have a closet queer half brother 18 years my senior and an adopted sister three years younger with whom I have no contact (which is fine). Effectively I'm sort of an only child which doesn't bother me but I do wonder if I missed out on a true friend. I would say value yours Eggs and I hope you have many happy times together 👍
  6. Possibly aimed at @doobin ?!!! 😂
  7. That's an incredibly helpful post as recognised by someone who has two roosts in the cladding of his house and wants to do building work. Fortunately we've at least delayed such work on grounds of cost - we've actually withdrawn the planning application - but if we wanted to go ahead we wouldn't be able to do anything until the 3rd and 4th surveys were done late next summer. I suppose the general advice has to be the same as ever; become knowledgeable, be careful and cover your ass whatever you decide to do
  8. Jonesy (FR Jones) at Sydenham does them
  9. 50... I nearly remember... 😊 62 in May 😬
  10. +1 for this machine; it's excellent. The battery gives 50 minutes of cutting time. If you average 4-5 seconds a cut (who knows really?) that's a lot of cuts. The chain oils very freely. The only thing I don't like is the branch retrieval hook; it's useless but I guess it may be designed that way to protect the shaft from over eager users (hookers? 😂)
  11. Know what you mean. This arvo is the first one for a while I've managed to work without a beanie on my head; every other day recently the midges have been out and about
  12. ...the cages with wooden pallet bases standing on 4 or 6 bricks

    Jokes???

  14. That's terrible and inexcusable! But I think it's also exceptional; it certainly does nothing to enhance what is actually a very good resource - to Steve's credit
  15. Understood Steve but if they weren't there I'd not have found grateful homes for my small output!
  16. I've used a handful of places for my small output so yes, we do use the directory. Probably to @Steve Bullman 's annoyance I haven't left feedback - except once - because access has been awkward; either a fiddle to arrange (allotment site where the recipient lives some way off and needs to know in advance when to be there to unlock) or, as recently, there isn't even room to turn a car round - you have to reverse the trailer 60+ yards up a poor track. I'm not going to rebuff someone's hospitality by letting me tip on their land only to leave bad feedback. Also the places I've used can only accept small amounts so advertising them via feedback could be counterproductive
  17. Good one Dean. Nice to see you on here still; one of the Old Contemptibles of Arbtalk!
  18. Point taken! You have more experience of the private sector than myself: Kevin perfectly described mine of the public. Good and bad in both - yep, for sure
  19. ...with uncanny insight to the Public Sector generally 😔
  20. Copper will sort most things animal; it's nasty stuff as a dissolved chemical though necessary as a trace element
  21. Shame. But he does like big Lawsons Cypress should anyone working West Sussex/Hampshire area read this and encounter some
  22. I seem to remember Live Aid being held up as such an example: any knowledge on that one @Baldbloke ?
