IF you go easy with you right foot. More power = less effort to achieve the same result. Broadly speaking I do stuff in the Nav a gear higher than before the remap
  3. Another vote for correct ID. I have a baby one doing very well; no fruit yet but the leaves are a perfect match; leaves that have stayed green very late only starting to turn in the last few days

Likewise a remap for my 65 plate Nav; big difference in power gain and a small difference in mpg gain if you can be disciplined with the right foot
  5. Jodie M Share On Facebook Reply to Miss Sensible 8 hours ago probably a woman just like me. we are not as good as men 🤣
  6. Didn't have long to wait did we
  7. No. It happens. Really don't worry about the thing; they're very resilient as I've said. I beheaded a pair of overgrown ones last year; the branches were up to 7 or 8ft long and going all over the place so I cut the trunk 3ft from the ground. The regrowth is strong and much bushier

    Jokes???

Blimey, what glasses are you wearing Stubby?! I've found one and it's the only one there. I hope
  9. Ignore them. They won't do any long term harm. In the warmer months you're likely to be visited by Viburnum Beetle, both the larvae and adults of which cause will far more visible damage but again the plant can deal with them
  10. Another for V.tinus, an extremely resilient plant. If you ever want to reduce the size of it don't be shy - hammer it
  11. Small point but the last time I was there Woldingham was in Surrey! Ironically I used to know a guy who lived there and made a living shifting timber, amongst other things, with his Mog. I've lost his name and number but I doubt he's still doing it. There; wasn't I useful. Hope you find someone more so 😁
  12. I guess you guys must be right to at least some extent or there'd be way more extra cabs but we aren't the only ones who could benefit: tradesmen of all sorts could benefit. But the fact is they're an oddity. When I bought my current one I'd been watching it on the Nissan website for a few months before the old one told me 'get rid of me now before I cost you lots': this one was the only King Cab there out of over 240 Navaras. No wonder it was in Barrow-in-Furness!
  13. So why are they so rare Mark? I'm on my third King Cab Navara and can't imagine being without one. As you imply they tick so many boxes they just make sense

    Jokes???

Seats up and down at the same time. Novel!
  15. Our winds are driven by the temperature difference between the poles and the equator. The poles are warming faster than the equator so that difference is reducing = less wind in global terms
  16. Same here. Whenever I was at my logstore a few years ago there seemed to be at least a breeze; not so much now - there seem to be more still days
  17. Yep, spot on; logs are taking forever to dry this year. In fact I've found them being harder to dry for the last three years or so for some reason but there could be local environmental changes causing that And things aren't going to get better any time soon! The stilling: global wind speeds slowing since 1960 EC.EUROPA.EU Few people have probably noticed, but the world’s winds are getting slower. It is something that cannot be picked up by watching the billowing of dust or listening to the rustle of...

    Jokes???

    Four Shades of Brown
  19. I've heard of such things before but never myself felt the need; I generally grab a branch off the pile of brush to be chipped and use that. If potential blocking is a recurring issue I simply feed in less each go. All of which seems utterly logical to me. What does help (with my M300) when chipping small conifer brush is to feed the branches the wrong way round if you can: the green slows the drum more than the stem so feeding the green with the drum at maximum revs helps with throw of the chip

  21. Good work as ever 👍
  22. That's a horrible freak accident. Poor guy and family
  23. My mate and I were going to work near Bromley today but the forecast changed between 7.45 and 8.30 this morning! No problem to do the job another day so he forewent the pleasure of slip sliding around a large cherry
  24. Ash will burn indeed. Remember that the smaller you split the logs the tighter they'll pack and less will be the airflow. Something to consider. But with ash - not a problem
  25. And take plenty of pics before, during and after, especially of those precious Leylands
