  1. Have you topped the trees and now new growth has appeared ? Or did new growth appear lower down, then you topped them?

  4. I could watch those guys work all day! Knew a guy who not that long ago who used to collect timber that way, a boat hand winch on the front and some pulleys and ramps! I'm sure the trailer is still in good working order on 3 axles if anyone fancies it
  5. At the time it was the least of our worries! Saved paying tax at least
  6. £4K on a new engine, gearbox and clutch for a Mog . £3750 for a new brain for a valmet 8950. Best vehicle loss was £20k in a year on a Iveco Daily 4x4 .
  7. Good attitude! Skill you can teach, the first is the parent, guardian or care givers job.
  8. What spikes are you wearing? Anything with leather can rub badly, especially when wet. I've been on alloy geckos with hard legs, loads of padding with Velcro straps for about 6 years. They are like your Sunday slippers compared to bashlins.

  10. Damaged a hose on the grab taking a tantrum with a little spruce tree today! I carry spares so 20 mins and I was back at it Exhaust fell off the Mog today at the silencer, so we got gassed chipping! On the search for some 4" flexy in the morning
  11. It got a pat down with the ditching bucket after that picture! The turfs fell apart when lifting most of them, the grass was poor due to bad drainage, hence the job. They weren't expecting grass on the back, so it will grow and look OK from. Whine a wall looking the other way this time next year

  14. My goretex Swazi jacket has kept me dry for 11 years now! Kept me dry today, it's a long smok, so air in the bottom, no sweat. All good
  15. I shake mine about and put on the choke just to get a little longer out them, if I don't manage to finish a cut, I feel like a failure and the saw has won!!!!!
