  4. the chips need to be bigger to work properly, the size of small logs. and selling stuff to farmers!! good luck . but worth a try, i have a pile of chips that looks like soil. about 5 years old, it has crossed my mind to bag it and try and sell it.
  5. that looks more awesome than an awesome thing, i saw a 2 seater one the other day in a driveway. there is a place up here that does them for a couple of grand, but dont look as good as that one mate

  12. i did think of that but was worried they would rip when getting hiabed
  13. i advertised 2 years in a row when i first started, to be honest it was more of a confidence boost for myself seeing my add up there but i only ever got 2 jobs too look at, and didnt get either. it was cheapest man won, which is fair enough but you want to have seen the state of the birch trees that the cheap guy left:ohmy:
  14. the good customers always find the good tradesman, i know what you are saying though mate
  15. magnetic signwriting steve, it wood be good for you since you sub so much, i remember you saying you dont want to annoy your employers but ideal for all other times. my 150 quid woodfuel stickers got me a 4k grant from the council sitting in safeways carpark, towards my website:001_smile:
  16. oh boxxocks, i must have about 50 now all stacked up, i will try and punt them as next years, i take it the vented ones are ok?

  18. i dont know if there is less tree guys or just less adds, i have always found the yellow pages a waste of time. i wouldnt like to see anyone lose their business, big or small. it takes a lot of guts to take that first step into self employment. i would rather loads of work loads of workers. imagine no apf:ohmy:
  19. i am bagging up logs in 1 ton bags, they are standard non vented ones, will they dry ok or will they get mouldy?i dont have indoor storage this is my only option, they will get covered with a tarp allowing air underneath to circulate:001_smile:
