  1. Remember and include the value of your trades on your tax returns guys
  2. Looking good, I used it on 1 project and have a fair bit in the pipeline . I used my valmet with crane to lift the planks out the way, the boards I made were 20'x3'6"x18' Sitka and Black Pine. It didn't take long for myself and RobertS to get into the feel of it. Lovely piece of wood there J
  3. Best with correct spanners, their pretty tight to get into. Have a quick check of the oil level on upright, their should be a level, I think it's right at the front. Boom it full out with the legs down before leaving the yard to make sure it's not juddery!
  4. Take 2 adjustable spanners with you aswell, 1 big 1 small:biggrin:
  5. Get stuck in, the most important lever is the down 1, if it all goes wonky, push that down. It's common sense and practice. Keep the revs down, pull everything in close and low and don't lift high until you need to. Expect to nearly whack the tractor and forget about the legs in the excitement. If your lifting light stuff with a strong crane it's easy, the best way to learn is in the pitch black, at the side of a busy road reaching over a big jaggy hedge, fishing I call it! It's more fun in a roof mount into gardens, furniture bingo I call it ! Nearly had a BBQ once:001_rolleyes:
  6. I always thought it was 4 double letters, I was expecting a double P aswell. My apologies
  7. Nothing wrong with that budget. A grand for grab and the rest for digger. Good luck!
  8. Mines a bit different as it's a fixed demolition grab, I can divert the bucket ram but I didn't so I could have plenty of movement so I could make proper use out the fixed grab. If you don't have a big budget then buy the cheapest mini digger you can find and put a thumb on it.
  9. Buds are on lime trees! larch buds have popped! it was springtime here today!
  10. Fair play for sticking to a diet, takes discipline:001_cool:
  11. Marc on here works for a company with a huge tow behind with its own crane and is towed behind a big Mog . All I know is he's from Down South, worth a PM if he doesn't see this.
  12. A good cutter messing about doing easy trees on a hill.
  13. I just tip it back, get in the hopper and turn the blades back and fish it out then have a rant at the eejit that never turned it off properly
  14. Letting it run doesn't work 100%, the draft caused by the drum running stops any small bits from dropping down! roughly 8" from the bottom of the hopper will be spotless! and bits higher up will be kept back. Once you stop the engine, the bits will fall down and possibly jam the drum when trying to start.brush back or blow through.
  15. Run the blower through it, clean as a whistle!
