  12. Great solid wee tractors!
  13. I find 16 year olds are good grafters, it's when they get to 17-18 they are harder to motivate and start slacking due to pubs and drinking.
  14. Biscuit it down, as long as you are making sawdust, the tree is getting smaller!
  15. Good job guys! Top marks to the climber!
  16. Terrible!
  17. What's worth more? The wood or the digger? That's how I would choose!
  18. You may have hit dirt or metal on the start of the 2nd cut! Then it's all downhill from there! Saw heats up, starts getting blunter and so on. I was cutting up stuff more than twice bar length today, I had to sharpen 3 times in an hour and to get the middle I then had to cut a section out the side and then start cutting again so bar could get further in to catch the centre fibres!
  19. Dreaded moth if it looks like rice crispy sick! It's a gonner from my experience.
  20. Either technique or bar needs dressing up or renewed I would say. Start level, go forward and over as far as you can so saw is vertical and work in and back as far as you can until you have to come back to horizontal and then go down level , this way you have cut 3/4 of the wood. Do this all the way along the trunk, roll the log forward until you can see the bottom of your top cut, then put the bar in and work forward.
