  2. i am going to throw my hedge cutters under the big skidder mate and i vow NEVER to pick golden conny clippings out of quartz gravel again, ever!!!!!!
  3. that was a 6.5m log, tree was about 35m, but i had 12m below me so more of a heavy tickle id say!
  4. i asked the guy how much it weighed, he said 30 ton.
  5. So far there's only 1 in the country as far as the owner knows. She weighs 30 ton, 300 hp, 30 ton winch, 2 top smaller winches on boom, It was chosen because it's the only thing that can shift the big stuff. It's not my job I'm just subbying.

  13. Just hinge from the top, 1 lever with a catch, simples. Side tip you turn out the chip pile, yes some logs roll under but its an easy fix and with 4 wheel drive you can soon get out most situations:biggrin:
  14. best purchase you will make imo! had mine for 5 years, had no problems with it.
  15. been there with a transit on a flat lawn on a summers day! get yourself a £10 come along winch fom Aldi and stick it in the cab( i know not much room) or buy a mog, thats what i did. Been stuck once in 14 years and that was stupidity on a chip pile messing around.
  16. Fantastic, I know how much work that must of saved. Looks like the crane was out of reach on the last 1, did he have to swing you onto it or did a Groundie pull you in with your rope 😀
  17. If the wind stop blowing you would all fall over on the east coast mate! Loads more snow here in the last 24 hours but Suns poking through inbetween.
