  1. Apologies if it's been posted before. A pub inside a tree. The baobab tree-bar | Oddity Central - Collecting Oddities
  2. Best of luck mate. I knew a bloke from Chub locks and he got me their top range lock to go on a fully shrouded container. They still got in via the lock!
  3. Worst ever fence was extending existing motorway post and rail to deer fence with four strands of plain wire. Five kilometres of parking on the side of the road and carrying everything up and down embankments.
  4. Bikes are supposed to be fun machines. Making something with a diesel engine and crap handling is wrong:001_smile:

    Air rifle

The best air rifle I've ever owned is the old Sharp Inova. Full power and unbelievable accuracy. We used to shoot bluebottles that sat on a whitewashed wall at 15 yards with open sights. With just a few mods you have the best pneumatic ever made.
  6. All we need now is Jason James Gairn back:thumbup1:
  7. Angela Merkel goes to Greece Immigration officer "Occupation" Angela Merkel "only visiting"
  8. You would...wouldn't ya:001_smile:
  9. Not seen that before. Glad no one has ever videod me climbing judging by some of the comments here:001_smile: You youngsters need to loosen up:biggrin:
  10. Of course we've had an impact. We've created the British landscape for a start. Is our impact as big as made out in certain quarters? There seems to be as much evidence against as for. You pays your money....
  11. I used to worry about climate change, wasting of resources etc. But, if I were that concerned, then I'd have to give up most of my interests. Wasting petrol in my enduro bike, wasting fuel in the truck to go fishing, taking the dog to shoots, taking me out et al. I try to do my bit by buying locally, trying not to buy Chinese crap (impossible) and generally supporting local businesses. My small attempts are probably just whistling in the wind when compared to the outputs of India, China or just natural occurences. It now seems to me that 'global warming' has become a handy cash cow for our governments and they're milking it for all its worth.
  12. Possibly 'sports'. Viral origin?
  13. Sounds like pear midge. The little critters hatch in the ground below the tree and fly up. Raking the ground below the tree may help as will a mulch over membrane.
  14. BBC News - Woodland Trust reveals 60 Diamond Jubilee Wood sites

  16. As an estimate over the years probably 50k hardwoods. Planted 500 this morning and isn't my back telling me!
  17. Well said. Have not nearly all of our great veterans been 'reduced' in the past?
  18. Those dinners look disgusting. The school should be ashamed. Whatever happened to Jamie Oliver's vendetta?
  19. Thanks for info. Hopefully it'll free up easily.
  20. Guy won't budge on price. Thanks for replies I'll go and pick it up tomorrow.
  21. Found an 075 av in a scrapyard. Had a quick look and it's all there except for a chain. It looks as though it was bought in with a pile of other stuff from a sale. No wear on the bar at all and the sprocket is unworn. Saw is just untidy from sitting in a shed gethering dust. Only problem is it's solid. No give in the pull start at all so could be seized solid or just the pull start jammed. I can't take it apart for a quick look as the guy says if you want it you take it as it is. Forty quid. Is it worth taking a chance?
