  1. I can't believe anyone actually buys / uses the stuff
  2. I think you're on a road to nowhere limiting yourself to just those 2 brands; sorry but that's my honest view. Wouldn't risk it.
  3. I did a LOT of brashing with a 5105. Shavey let me try his 115 in the same spruce; I immediately traded the 5105 for a new 115. The outbaord clutch and inner tensioner are a pita but the weight difference made me do it. They are very very close in power and torque terms; so close in fact it's probably only the mix that changes them. My 5105 was a US saw with a CAT muffler so without that it might have felt as free-revving as the 115. There's a thread I put up called "Out with the new, In with the old" about it.
  4. Right on your doorstep; Shavey (the Dolmar agent) is on here and in Devon!
  5. It's that German v Jap thing. Dolmar 5105 is a cracker, but the old school 115 is noticeably lighter. Echo 501 I'm desperate to own; very very sweet saw. Think Geoff on here has the 501.
  6. Twas a fine job, some sweet moments too in a very cohesive team performance Brilliant.
  7. Hoping to see the French beat in minutes 😁
  8. Walk, rather run away asap! It'll never be good enough for people like that. You can't make an omelette without cracking an egg...
  9. Yes I have. The frustration and injustice of it certainly makes one think of smashing their heads in, I can acknowledge that.
  10. So weve gone from justifying theft due to hunger on to justifying homicide due to theft...
  11. Bit late now lol
  12. Oh dear. Chicken head.
  13. Good man, reckon you'll be stoked with that
  14. If TP still made the TP100 I'd say that as we've just rebuilt one and it's phenomenal. Well and truly outchips with 14hp the Jo Beau M500 with 24 horsepower ! No kidding. The latter is therefore yer best option.
  15. That's appalling See below... Ditto. No BS in those saws.
  16. Spat my tea out :lol::lol:
  17. Can do. BSL reg'd. Mainly softwood...
  18. LIKE
  19. I'd go with that. Needing to hold an edge 10% longer isn't really an issue if you can go for days without blunting it... Last time I grew tired of sharpening and frustrated with chain life was when converting skidded timber; through mica enriched soil.
  20. Raining Douglas Fir lol. We were watching one fall for every one we had just watched fall previously and were now cutting! Buy one get one free haha!!!
  21. Prob me done the awol lol; pm me
  22. 578 or 678? Hydraulic filter on the fuel tank?! Certainly not got that on mine nor my mates 678...
