  1. No day rates except for Rookies at £60/day. Production rate only thereafter.
  2. Great trucks apart from MPG. Parked mine up for logs only - absolutely horrendous on fuel; just eats money.
  3. I've hung in for long enough. Sick and tired of being sick and tired of it. Decision Final. I'll just sell roundwood and it will rapidly be only to euroforest. Try to help out all the independants but can't be arsed no more with all the little issues. Just flog it to euro, done. BTW, euro charging £64 delivered + vat for hardwood in PLY now. And then you've got Matey & Buddy Logs doing 3 cube for £115. 80110X to it.
  4. They are all total rubbish but BBC Webshite is the worst - always completely wrong.
  5. Worst year ever. Packing up logs after this season.
  6. Didn't know you'd had it plumbed in for a stroke head; how's it going? PITA doing the joysticks or pads?
  7. Yes it fair to say that a flush can well remove some of the well-baked-on polymerics in a turbo oil feed screen / filter; susbequent distribution of said muck though - where? Turbo shaft fully-floating bearing tolerances are v small.
  8. Nor ever will. That would be sacrilege.
  9. CS-620sx :001_tt1::001_tt1: Leaves much more on the table to play with darling...
  10. Bold - still got. Best of the 9-5's was the 3.0 TiD; unbelievable power but reliability headache as were all the saabs. Bora & Passat V6 TDI have been the best of recent times altho the Avensis was an 07 d4d and was excellent. Marina lol - bought it off my Dad with the intention of V8'ing it - never happened. Maestro was actually the worst car of the lot; best probably the Golf GT TDI or Bora TDI 130.
  11. Unless you catagorically know there is a blockage in there and clear evidence of sludge in the oil pan, don't flush. Better to run a cheapo CI oil for <1000 miles and then do the O&F again with better. Above is absolutely right about oil filler and dipstick - allows air flow down. I've sometimes cranked it over with filter off to spit out the glut in there but obv don't run it!
  12. My car turnover is absolutely ridiculous; Let me just count: A40, Marina, Anglia, Escort, Maestro, Fiesta, Escort, Astra, Astra, Astra, Astra, Vectra, 309, Vectra, Vectra, 205, Xsara, Vectra, Rover 218 Vi, Megane, Golf, Mondeo, Corolla, 9-5, Avensis, 405, L200, 306, 9-5, Bora, 9-5, Xantia, Passat, Focus, Space Star, Octavia, 306, since 1977. Is that bad?
  13. Back up to 15 degrees C! Rubbish!
  14. Second that. Hypno can let some nasties in - avoid imo.
  15. Thanks for this; always aspired to another Webasto Hot Start but found these and started wondering...
  16. Any good? i.e. Q and A about engine heaters, filters heaters and battery heaters
  17. Do'h sorry, UK 11 / Eur 46
  18. I've got a new pair on arbtrader for sale; £100 delivered; size too small for me.... Brand spanking from FRJ
  19. First question, is the dream in black and white or full vivid colour? Might also be be muted like sepia. 2nd: Hydration? 3rd: any resemblance to things that have happened? example being chased / stuck / fatigued / fighting / repetition / physical trauma / bored ? 4th: wake up very dry mouth? ................
  20. Got to agree. I like Dols but the topper is junk. Echo I reckon...
  21. Mate of mine is a Husky man thru and thru. Back of his pickup recently; had 2x 550, 2x 560, 365, 372, 395 in it. "Why all the saws?" I asked. "Backups" came the reply! Seemed normal to him I've had my Echo 600, lives in the harvester cab and nowt else; never needed a backup saw; would say the same for the dol 5105 or Stihl 036.
  22. Sorry, think I've answered my own question here: https://www.vapormatic.co.uk/tractor-parts.ashx?manuid=CI&m=Case%20International&typeid=010&t=Agricultural%20tractor&seriesid=40&s=74&modelid=574#part_list/VPA2654 It DOES have sliding followers!
  23. Elf, you've had your 574 engine in bits right? Can you recall the valve train type; in particular does it have sliding cam followers? Guessing it's a pushrod engine anyway not OHC...
  24. And yet it was beautiful in loddiswell, a mere 25 miles away. Blue blue sky and crisp and bright. Dartmoor lol
