  1. By finest, you don't mean the 99 RON octane do you?
  2. This is bad news, sorry IC. My 5105 is the leaner yank model and running fine and has done a lot of hours since I had two years ago as per http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/chainsaws/50927-lovely-little-dolmar.html Was it revving its nuts off before it blew? Supermarket fuel?
  3. Softwood please, hardwood does my head in. Got bone dry DF at the moment, it is the business. PS I'm going to print this thread off and give it to my customers. They all subscribe to the softwood is bad nonsense.
  4. Horrendous but they did apparently. Just shows about the worst a dash cam could record. Sorry for any shock caused.
  5. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-0E2Nxtm6o]Car vs truck crash E40 Aalter (Belgium) - YouTube[/ame]
  6. Yeah but if you do your research first you can outwit that plan before it's even set up. Knowledge is power.
  7. Haggling and negotiation are essential in business. Sure you don't over a mars bar in a supermarket but if you're not asking and not getting in respect of significant business purchases something's wrong imo. Motto - never pay full price for anything. Crike, I "negotiated" £30k off the the price of a harvester; you'd be nuts to think you've got no right to try. PPE, saws, machines, cars, houses, all applicable.
  8. Yep, those little 2mm long hairs; look like fine ginger stubble. Yes it itches like hell; cutting larch non stop for years now so know what you mean! Nor they don't come out in the wash! I have particular shirts for wearing when I'm cutting the ol larix!
  9. Pics of goosed UJ spider/cross. Letting it get this bad is BAD!
  10. http://cdn.husqvarna.com/ddoc/HUSO/HUSO2014_EUenAPen/HUSO2014_EUenAPen__1156729-26.pdf 560xp manual states 33:1 if using FB oil...
  11. Or the UJ spider; supposed to be greaseable but manufacturing error means grease gallery only goes to 3 of the 4 bearing caps - will post a photo later lol.
  12. +1 and we never will have any problems. haha
  13. Dealers are not carrying out their duty to inform saw buyers NOT to buy Stihl HP mineral oil et al. Got to be JASO FC, or preferably FD synthetic to satisfy warranty. No use using HP in a new 6100 for instance. Chap who works for me did the latter; had to find an alternative use for his new 1L measuring bottle of HP - diesel additive! Same applies to all latest gen Stihl/Husq/Echo/Dol I think... Major cock up in the system really; HP stinks anyway and should be discontinued.
  14. Can tell you who's good and who to avoid if that helps; PM if so.
  15. I went from AT's to MT's and found no difference at all! Work that out!
  16. Brand new Komatsu 855, £5/tonne but a touch more as that's based on a 3000t plus job and a short extraction.
  17. Like any salaried person; a month is very good. How about 90 days; half our turnover is on that period.
  18. When do I jump on a genuine H thread where the op asks about a Husq matter and slate the brand? Are you cutting 300 sticks a day in front of the harvester as I am? I think that's a fair testing ground for a pro saw. I'm under no illusion that the 560xp has wonderful firepower and handling - when it is out of the workshop for a change and by snack time it will be broken again. The ergonomics are on a person by person factor; just because it feels nice in your hands doesn't mean it does in everybody else's. The 550xp is flat as a tit, no attitude in the engine at all.
  19. You say that and then the next man says his dmax is only getting 25-30...
  20. Dol 5105 is the 50cc choice Dol 6100 vs Echo CS-620 - very tough call; prob the dol as it's lighter Echo CS-360 topper is the one to watch. So even stevens on 60cc'ers, dol wins the 50 and echo the topper
