Sorry, I'd assumed submersible altho the Rule will run either submerged or with pickup hose altho the latter obviously reduces head considerably. The continuous duty motor is a good thing and it is safe to run dry. One downside - no switch in the cable.

Tis a Rule 280. Got it from Marine Bazaar, Plymouth. Good flow rate and better quality than the ebay / pirtek ones. £45. Got the yellow hose from them too.

Chill pill darling, and breathe... Too cheap. It doesn't matter if it's officially not overloaded; if it LOOKS overloaded, vosa et al will be on the case. We pulled an expanded polystyrene "boulder" that filled a 14" ifor. It weighed 29 kg, 20kg of which was the grey paint. We got pulled 4 times between St Ives and Plymouth -

Yes, those Nisula heads look really nice. Didn't go down the excavator route in the end as you know but I still have a warm feeling for the small tracked base and roller head venture. One thing we are deffo going to do is get a small forwarding trailer to use with the digger and grab. Beautiful wood, dreamy little job.
