  1. You're contracted to cut 3000 tonne of timber. Cut and extract rate agreed with landowner who is paying and marketing the timber himself. Small loading area so timber needs prompt and regular uplift. My T&C is that in the event of non-payment, the timber produced transfers into the ownership of the cutter; to me that seems to only safety mechanism. Any comments? Thanks.
  2. 3rd pic; single (rear) wheel track on the JD; would love a pair of those but apparently not available in 750's. Got good chains nonetheless.
  3. Those are beautiful sites - flat and driveable! Come to rolling devon; I have to sing "Glory glory what a hell of a way to die x3, we aint gonna winch no more" to keep hoping that one day I'll see the back of a winch! Here's some steep slope logging pics to restore the balance! No stacking, timber rolls off regularly despite stumps left to hold, every single tree has to be turned round, lovely! haha, very true about the Robin
  4. I had a 10-10; another old beaut I should never have got rid of

  6. Weren't they just the glory years; I miss em...
  7. That's right; I've had two drum chippers altho one was a JB M500 which was hardly fast. The Morbark on the other hand... :scared1: flippin nuts... [ame] [/ame]
  8. That's some ugly hairy butts there. I'm tidying up a site this week and frankly leaving a lot of the triple-stemmed wolfed crap in the job; rubbish can stay there; costs more to faff about with and process than is ever worth the 0.2 of a metre of chip in it; small skinny wood with edge trees to die for lol.
  9. Then the dealer is 100% culpable. I as a user know that these new i-phone generation saws can't drink mineral and the dealer does not?!
  10. haha; I know what spam is in email so am I on the right track?
  11. Sorry but what's a spammer? I genuinely don't know but guessing it's a new member who talks rubbish???
  12. Wouldn't hurt to renew the bar; 16" sprocket tip lovely on an 034 (I've had a few). Stick with Stihl bar. Over 18" will struggle imo. Saw looks tidy so bar has been looked after? Just dress the rails as required otherwise. Oregon 75LPX chain.
  13. Larch; £25/m3. Usually got a bit ready both PR and clean. Also DF. Devon. Pic is what we cut; 3.1/10'.
  14. Engine Cleaner, Fuel Treatments and Fuel Additive from Opie Oils
  15. Echo! Read this thread! Good kit needs good backup!
  16. Except for south west england where there's no choice!
  17. My forehead has serious brick rash!

  19. That's the way it should be. Nice one Echo
  20. yeah it's only Jaso FB mineral. Flippin' stinks too.
  21. Ha, colleagues liken it to stock car racing...
  22. Perhaps; but I'd reckon on there being 2-cycle lubricants out there that outperform the one premixed in Aspen et al Good post. + Shavey Think he bought 10 bottles from Opie!
