  1. Saw Jenkinsons tipping off at local B&Q this morning; assume they've installed biomass boilers? Anyone know?
  2. But the 115 destroys the 346 in torque terms.
  3. No mate, not really a forestry show is it.
  4. No, smaller mate, 52cc with bags of torque. No emissions crap, no autotune, no excess baggage, no dumbass hot and cold starting technique, etc etc.
  5. 15" came with it, would run 16" lovely. Ultimate brashing saw; the engine has a lot of "attitude", like it's laughing at the wood as it spits it out.
  6. Yes Andrew mate, he brilliant.
  7. Just had to have this firecracker after merely trying one yesterday! Can't say I like the outboard clutch or old fashioned chain tensioner but what the heck, it runs like a swiss watch, simple tunable carb, quite light (0.5 kg less than a 5105) and packs an immense punch. Not even a spark arrester to remove haha.
  8. Shavey...
  9. Got a few customers with these on their roofs; very tidy job, will ask who, where etc etc
  10. Check this out; not many of these about! Forwarder Logset 504f forestry | eBay
  11. No offence but I think the price of Aspen is an outrage; completely unacceptable until gov remove the RFD.
  12. I tried a Dolmar 115i today, brashing sitka; what an absolute bomb of a saw; very fast, very torquey, nice and light and yet how old a design?! It was simply phenomenal. And another thing; brilliant on fuel.
  13. Move on from Jaso FB oil folks, ditch the mineral with the exception of Stihl HP for run-in.
  14. Also watching that
  15. Least known, best of the lot, no electronics, nice linear power and revvy.
  16. Oh my goodness. Glad for some clarification on this; google seemed lacking in any definitive answers i.e legal status of this issue.
  17. Good post (pun intended)!
  18. Have you ever done timber contracting i.e. hand cutting, legging in in front of a harvester, other forestry work? There might be a bit of that about...
  19. Hi, just bought some "organic multi-purpose compost" that freakin stinks of sewage; then I remembered hearing something about sewage sludge being used for all manner of things; agricultural fertiliser etc. Anyone know anything about this? Not that enamoured with the thought of growing veg in such! Thanks.
  20. Robin, this is not what the guidance says: http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=4&ved=0CDcQFjAD&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.timbertransportforum.org.uk%2FUpload%2FDocuments%2F22_Clarificationofthelawreddiesel.pdf&ei=diVqVcPOKIyP7AafroHYCA&usg=AFQjCNEqUqjaiZobFF7UsalID53zgeJNFA&bvm=bv.94455598,d.ZGU
  21. We have a new giant in the house! Big J usurped!
  22. Hang on, I'm supposed to be running my old JD2130 with Japa 700 on white diesel?!!! You have to taking the blankety blank blank blank !!!
