  1. Those backpack things anygood? Forever ruining my shoulders with hedge trimmer but dunno if id get on with it.
  2. Done it since school, and 6years on ive recently gone self employed. No hand outs here and i feel very proud to be where i am now through nothing but hard work, and abit of luck ofcourse
  3. Worked today, was sunny this morning then came in wet this afternoon. Got a feeling sundays job may be called off but we'll see

  5. Thats very very true and how you lasted 3years i dont know, i went two weeks without work and wanted to jump off the nearest bridge. But picked me self up, and things are looking better. Persistance and hard work WILL pay off. Good luck my friend

  7. Emails are no good, people dont reply. Phone phone phone. Go see them in person, give them cards. Get a van or a trailer for your car and do your own bits. If work wont come to you, go find it No one got rich sitting on there arse
  8. Cheers jon, already pm'd tommer a few questions i knew of 200tdi with 250/300k on them, still ran great. But like i say i not so familar with 300tdi, looking at one atm with 180k on, all seems ok... But ofcourse atleast with landrover, chopping and changing engines is easy
  9. What sorta miles 300tdi engines good for? Im familiar with the 200tdi but havnt had a 300tdi before. Cheers

  12. Yh everybody i speak to seems to be pretty quite, but you got to take the rough with the smooth and all that. Yep i know them, about 5mins away from mine. They were broken into not so long ago, everything stolen...
  13. Hi guys, works gone abit quite of late. Im self employed climber living in wellington, somerset. Willing to climb, ground, or just work as a labourer helping out with firewood or landscaping etc... you get my drift... Around 4years of climbing experience with cs30, 31, 32, 38, 39 along with hedge trimmer, and wood chipper, and plenty of hand on experience with grounding and just general hard graft. Willing to travel for the right money ofcourse, would even consider relocating for a weeks work etc... Laid back guy, with a sense of humour just looking for some work theres a member on here who i'd hope would give me a good reference, as ive worked with him on and off for about 6years PM me if i can be of help to anyone. Many thanks!

  22. We just had a quote for a mains electric supply (we run off generator currently) Surprisingly underground was cheaper than over ground.
