  1. Just to clarify - the Sentinel's at the top
  2. We're findnig either the DMM Ultra O's or the Sentinels are the most popular choices for use with the Hitchclimber from this end.
  3. We could most likely make you something if you're interested? We design & make a load of site safes and mobile workshops etc for use in harvesting sites - can't see it being a problem to make something to suit you.?
  4. This the sort of thing you're thinking of? I used to use them all the time back in the day when I worked in bars for the wee till keys/tabs. The one I had was almost the size of a Yo-yo, like Steve says - Keycutting shops are your best bet I think.
  5. Todays was Ham, Cheese, Pepperoni, Salad & Branston Pickle, and awesome it most certainly was!

    boots

Not sure I'd agree with that, it's always (in my opinion of course) worth paying a bit more to get the GoreTex liners in any item of clothing that would be beneficial to be waterproof. I do a lot of motorbiking and a bit of snowboarding in my spare time (on those rare occasions in Scotland when it stops raining...) and I've always gone for GoreTex kit whenever I can afford it. I've got a pair of GoreTex snowboard trousers that are 4 years old now, been through the wash hundreds of times and are still 100% waterproof - they haven't let in a drop since the day I bought them. The same applies to my textile bike jacket, it's stood up to some of the worst weather I've seen, let alone had the pleasure to ride into at 70(ish) mph. Again, it's remained 100% tight, even after around 20,000 miles. Correctly caring for your kit is the biggest factor in this, GoreTex doesn't simply stay waterpoof by itself, it needs to be re-treated every so often (NikWax is great for this by the way) to keep it in good condition. The same applies to boots themselves, those that complain about them falling apart too quickly, how often do they get cleaned, polished and the leather treated? This can easily improve not only their lifespan, but also their comfort and waterproofing qualities too. I get the point about breathability, but GoreTex kit is certainly 'more breathable' than non GoreTex kit - try running around in an old school type waterproof jacket and you'll soon notice how sweaty it can get in there! Some of the other branded versions of GoreTex are also worth a look too if it's merely a cost concern - Sympatex is an example of one that also works well.
  7. Hi Robert - did you get your Sawpod through Ok?

  8. Is that what they're calling it nowadays!?
  9. Yup, these ones - Everyone's got their own preferences, (Blair here swears by his Sequoia) but I much prefer the Skylotec - it's much more supportive, IMHO.
  10. Did you venture into what is without doubt the finest Chippy in the land in Filey? Inghams, it's in the middle of town with a big plastic fisherman outside it.
  11. First place I always look before buying any new PC hardware (I'm the IT Geek here remember!) is PC Pro's website. They do a thing called the A List, which is their current best product in all their chosen categories, e.g: Best Budget Laptop Best 19" TFT Monitor etc It's well worth a look and is always a good place to start.
  12. +1, your agreement is with the company or individual that sold you the harness, and it's up to them to take up any issues with the manufacturer or distributor where appropriate. If it's a known problem (I can't comment as we don't currently stock the TreeMotion), your supplier will probably have a batch of spares for it. Certainly your first port of call should be the supplier. Hope this helps?
  13. Have a look at the Skylotec Kolibri - I find the back support on those much better (and it's larger) than all the other harnesses, including the Petzl ones. Although nothing would beat simply trying on a load to get the one that fits best.
  14. I go through ear plugs like they're going out of fashion with the bike, and am looking into getting a set of custom made ones done. Work's out a lot cheaper than buying disposable plugs all the time and they're always a proper fit.
  15. Old thread being brought back to life but today's top tip to deal with a smelly helmet (ooh err!) is to use Baby Shampoo and warm water. The baby shampoo is mild enough not to attack the plastics and it cleans up even the most neglected of helmets in no time. I've done my motorbike crash helmet this way and it does work.
  16. We're now back up & running again folks, cheers
  17. Blair is just checking this now and he'll come back to you ASAP - hat going into the post tonight, thanks!
  18. Ok Folks - this is the current system (which I'm working on improving) - what's wrong with it in your opinions? Here's an example for Husqvarna saws: Chainsaw Bars & Chains for Husqvarna Chainsaws And another one for Stihl saws: Chainsaw Bars & Chains for Husqvarna Chainsaws Now, neither of these are working very well - they need improved (lots!) and made simpler to use. What don't you like about them? What DO you like about them? What's wrong/right etc? Could you order the correct bar & chain for your saw (assuming it's listed!) from this? What's stopping you if not? Thanks again in advance for all your input - I am taking it all on board, I promise! Free baseball cap or wooly hat to anyone replies that want's one (PM me your address & I'll post it out to you!). Cheers & thanks James
  19. I'm sure you lot are just picking the one that'll cause me the most work!!! Thanks though - all input very welcome on this one please!
  20. Ok folks - time for me to pick your brains for a change!! How would you go about ordering a new bar &/or chain for your chainsaws? I'm trying to identify the best way to display these on our website, and I'd rather go about it in a way that makes sense to the type of folks that might actually order them! e.g. Would you prefer to: - Use the existing bar as a reference? - Search by the make/model of your saw, and look for a list of suitable bars & chains to suit that saw? - Know the length / pitch etc details and order form there? I'd really appreciate any input or feedback on this - I want to make it absolutely dolly simple for people to be able to pick the correct Bars & Chains for their saws. I can have 2/3 different systems, but I've got to start somewhere! Cheers & many thanks, James
  21. That green jag from Die Another Day was at the EuroTunnel a few months back when I was going over to France on the bike. It's a great looking car in the flesh!
  22. Hi Adam (or anyone else for that matter...) - our Blog site is up & running but I'm always on the hunt for new content, articles etc. If anyone fancies sending me in stuff, tips, facts, photos etc - I'll publish them on our Blog. All credit will be given to the authors (with links etc to your own sites if appropriate?). Anyone that's interested, please drop me a PM. Cheers Jame
  23. I came across this monster of a thing in France a few months back - it was, by far, the biggest flying insect I've ever seen - an easy 2 inches long from nose to tail: It kept stealing our drinks, so in the end I ruined it's day with a copy of the Le Mans Yellow Pages and turfed it into a stream.
  24. I did think Stihl only allowed their saws to be sold with a physical hand over of the equipment?
  25. Thanks Steve, I take you got that well stuffed brown envelope along with your goods then!? (But seriously, thanks very much for the great feedback!)
