  1. Said it before and I'll say it again: Whatever is top of PC Pro's current A List - let them do all the research and testing work for you! PC Pro A List
  2. At the last announcement on the radio there are 20+ roads closed around here this morning, I went down to have a look at the river (Nith) last night and it's higher than I've ever seen it before. We're used to it bursting it's banks most years here, but this is a biggy!! I feel for all the places being flooded out today
  3. These waterproofs are very good for the price, lightweight and properly waterproof. I've toured Scotland on my motorbike in these and stayed dry, fair enough testimonial!? Apologies for the ugly git modeling them, I was away out of the office that day...
  4. Pretty much - we went up to Tignes a few years ago at the end of June/early July and it was brilliant. Still loads of snow up on the glacier, but down in Tignes itself the sun was baking hot, best of both worlds. First few patches of snow are starting to appear up in Scotland now too, can't wait!
  5. Nowt booked as yet, hoping to head over to Tignes in the summer for a bit of glacier snowboarding. Will probably try & make the most of Scotland this year.
  6. Most shocking thing about this case is the geezer is supposed to be a hairdresser and look at his barnet! I know that road very, very well - you can see for miles and miles all around, HOW he didn't see the police pointing the speed gun at him I don't know! Amatuer!
  7. +1 - Scam Scam Scam, just ignore him from now on. PS - what's the bike?
  8. Easiest way is to upload them into something like Flickr or Photobucket etc, then just link to the photos from there...
  9. Oh, and the other top tip is if you're buying from Vodafone, the last Saturday of the month is the biggest chance that most stores have to hit their monthly targets, so if there's a deal to be had, that's the day you'll get it...
  10. Aha, a thread I can be of use in! Righto, don't say I'm not good to you Mr Jones! First place to start is these UK Coverage Maps: Orange Coverage Map Vodafone Coverage Map O2 Coverage Map T-Mobile Coverage Map I've not bothered to put 3's on there, because I wouldn't even recommend them to our biggest competitor Traditionally, Vodafone & Orange have the strongest networks, but it all depends on where you're planning on using it (as obvious as that sounds, it never failed to amaze me how many people just put up with not having a mobile phone signal in their house!). Being an ex Vodafone employee, that's who I'm with and I'm very very rarely out of coverage, even up here in the barren wildernesses of Scotland! That said, the only other company I'd use would be Orange.
  11. I udder to think how much that cost?
  12. Apologies for dragging up an old thread, but it saves me from creating a new one - Cargo Bars just added into our online shop, choice of either the Baby Bar for Pickups, SUV's, Vans & Cars or the Curtain Bar for trailers.
  13. For the Stein helmets just bung the the lining through the wash like Yvonne says (30c). Another wee tip for those suffering from a smelly helmet (stop sniggering at the back!), that doesn't have removable lining is to use baby shampoo and luke warm water out of the shower head to clean them. Works a treat and it won't attack the plastics like some solvent based cleaners can do. That's what I use on my motorbike helmet and it's fresh as a daisy now.
  14. That's how it's pronounced up there is it not!?
  15. Surely there must be plenty of folks with LPG cars that'd jump at the chance of some cheap fuel? Ad in the local paper? Not sure what / if the legalities of such a thing would be though?
  16. Sizing's a nightmare, each manufacturer is different! I wear a UK10 for most things, shoes, trainers etc, but my steel toe cap work boots are a 45, my snowboard boots are a 44, my motorbike boots are a 45 and almost every pair of chainsaw boots I've tried have been a different size! That said, we did have a wee confused chap on the phone a while ago checking that if his feet measured 10 inches, does that make him a size 10?!? So maybe the manufacturers aren't always entirely to blame!
  17. As previously mentioned, Graphite Lubricating Powder is a better option for karabiners than WD40 etc. Stay safe up there folks!
  18. I thnk it was long the lines of, if he can save £10 per chain x 10 chains, he's saved half way towards the cost of taxing his van for the year?
  19. As Justin says, they're not 'that' cheap...
  20. "HAS CANCER HAD SEX WITH THE COUNTRYSIDE?"
  21. For those times when a bottle opener, just won't do: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zbyacK5XZg&feature=related]Chainsaw Bottle Opener[/ame]
  22. It's the Non-Toxic bit that put me off - if someone breaks into my place, I want it to be as utterly toxic as possible!!
  23. Zubat's the most popular hand saw we do, by quite some way if that's any help? (it outsells the Gomtato by 3 to 1)
  24. +1 on what Justin said - the Zermatt's ARE waterproof (Goretex liner) the Klima Air's (Tirol Fighter's) aren't sold as waterproof, they're just a super-heavy duty boot. They're both from Pfanner, but we get a few people mixing them up from time to time too.
