  1. That was amazing!!
  2. Our company had to reduce a conifer hedge last year for a LA due to an ASBO bein served on it. Never had soo much hastle on a job the woman who owned the trees kept standing under the conifers with her kids! The ASBO stated that they had to be reduced down to 5 metres, not sure if they serve them once the hedge is above a certain height.
  3. Honey brothers sell a kids harness, not sure for wot age though.
  4. Those beavers do better cuts than half the cowboys round my end
  5. Awesome!! I'll have the exclusive hitch climber please haha:001_tongue:
  6. Watched it last nite, god ive missed them pair. There wot used to keep me in at nite when i was at school instead of sitting on the park with a litre of cider......good times.
  7. Once a year our company is asked by a LA to absail down the side of a via duct to remove all the vegetation from the joints. Not really weired but a bit different to wot i usually do.
  8. Me and my mates once fed aload of left over indian food to my mates dog,he was not amused when he slid across the kitchen floor in the mornin
  9. The worst is when your pulling all your life line through ti re-direct it and you suddenly notice that its all over your rope and gloves. Shout at groundie alot whether its his fault or not haha.
  10. For 450 quid id even snuggle afterwards:001_tt1:
  11. I think a water proof t-shirt would be awesome. I to was conned into a water proof stihl climbing jacket, its about as water proof as a sponge!!!! Back to the original question ive only ever wore a protective top once and i'll never wear one again, way too hot and cumbersome.
  12. Awesome!!!!
  13. My best present has got to be my new blue tooth sony mp3 player and of course the mountain of socks and boxxers. Merry xmas to all.
  14. I always cook a goose for xmas loads nicer than turkey. Very rich meat. It also provides you with the best fat ever for roasting your taters. Best served medium rare too IMO.
  15. For long ascents i kind of footlock it so my legs are pulling the slack through, not as quick as actual footlocking but less exausting than body thrusting. Each to there own though. I use a lock jack or hitchclimber by the way. Hope you all have a cracking chtistmas and a happy new year.
  16. I use a tachyon which is my first 11mm rope and i love it,seems alot more gentle on my hands than the 13mm ropes. If its wet and slimey though then i break my edelrid x-perience rope out which is a very good rope too which is 12mm. Use a lock jack and hitch climber on both ropes, both work very well. You could always just pick the rope thats your favourite coulor which is wot one of our climbers does haha.
  17. Got to be my ps3 although the missus would rather it was thrown away, not much in the way of conversation when im online haha. not good when your on them till 3 in the mornin either.
  18. so far this year we've had six pairs of stretch airs break there zips, all with the same problem the little metal clasp at the bottom was either not there or just fell off. All trousers were replaced without a fuss though. Other than the zips they are bomb proof!!! Newest was last week and the zips do seem different hopefully thse will last longer
  19. Would love to give that a go.....Not sure if i'd have the bottle to try something that size! Are we sure Graeme is human and not bionic:adore:
  20. Got the book a couple of months ago not a too bad book pretty good for a selection of friction hitches. Expected it to have a few more weired and different knots though. If you've already got a selection of knots in your aresnal probably wont be too much you dont already know. Some of our new climbers think its the best thing since cheese on toast though.
  21. Do alot of jobs like this, best one was when this bloke decided to start laying in to my groundie. I was just decending down the tree to come sort it out and when i looked up there was the bloke legging down the street with my groundie hot on his tail, was laughing so hard i coundn,t remember how to use a karabiner.
  22. Haha is it!
  23. Awesome, not sure wot the missus will make of the frozen peas and wasps but shes always saying we need to try new things, haha

  25. I personally use tachyon and i love it,i use a lockjack and hitch climber both work very well. Quite a forgiving rope on thee old hands too.
