  2. Contract climbing be prepared for dangerous and technical trees, I have a good reputation for saying yes where others wouldn't, all the best wish you luck and if ever you have a strong doubt say no
  3. You really want a job get your basic chainsaw and most of the climbing tickets, most of the utility tickets a cscs card, and keep looking but just realise there's some one like yourself popping out of college regularly

    Does the mobile number on the post not give you a big hint, call or text, or can simple instructions not be followed
  5. Iv climbed a fair amount of dead trees several no one else wanted to do, same as one of the lads said it's down to you on the day. Be careful what you hang on, check for faults on way up, have eyes in the back if your head, cautious is the way.
  6. Everything goes through tax as self employed, everything, well I do. As for experience might be a good idea to get with a company for a year or so stack some money work with some experienced bods.

  9. Only picked 1 up, agree they are featherlight and can see why they would be liked. But I'm allowed my opinion and I'm not spending money on a lightweight climbing saw and heavy weight climbing saw been climbing nearly 10 years got use to the weight don't see the need.
  10. Waste of money 200t is still the best and on light reduction work out comes the silky sugoi. Although my poor old 2t has been retired, drained, cleaned hangs on my wall got the 201t does the job perfectly.

  14. As I said from my experience, there a form of protection for an area it doesn't just cover trees either all the ones iv worked on we've had nearly the same sort of application process as tpo.
  15. Hope you plan on keeping on top of regularly tidying the top if there left for too long retopping leylands is a bastad.

  19. What's wrong with just holding your line on top of your right boot, bring right boot up hold rope on top of left boot with bottom of right and stand up. No knots, no tying line off, no shiny gadgets simple.
  20. Had my weavers for just over 5 years did very well tough as old boots I'd lowered off the side ds, odd bit of baler twine made it last a couple more months till I got a petzl sequoia had that 4 years and the bridge and several others bits had pretty much worn through now use stein vega.

  24. Having the same problem got a loan and have found a decent second hand timber wolf with fairly low hours, having a quick demo of it next week any good I'm having it.
