  1. The roads we dealt with work started at 9 and had to be finished by 3.30 due to rush hour traffic. Not sure if this applies to all roads but the majority I have worked with run this timescale
  2. When I worked up in Scotland we did a lot of road jobs on main A roads. The traffic light company we used charged bout 300 a day for two way lights running from 9-3.30pm
  3. Nice job mate. Very tidy, good work:thumbup:
  4. BJ Penn was awesome!! One of the best IMO
  5. Two weeks for me. Week skiing in Verbier and then ny in Scotland so not all bad!
  6. For that price and cash on collection only it sounds a bit suspect to me. Bet any £ there is no paperwork!!
  7. Had mine a few weeks now and they are quality. I had been needing new boots for a while and after a lot of advice from arb talkers and especially from SWB I made the purchase! Best purchase I have made for a while!!

Any body braving the small hrs like me to see the Pacquiao vs Cotto fight? Will be a cracker:lol:
  12. Had Navara for 4 years now, 02 plate. Great truck, awesome off road and pulls much better than the l200 IMO. Ive had no problems with it but that maybe to do with the "hairdresser type" that had it before me. Although I would pick the new l200 over the new Navara but im Landy bound:thumbup:
  13. STHIL...............nuff said
  14. I think it becomes a drug. The more you work in and around trees the more you love em IMO. Its such a diverse type job and no day is the same. Its such a pleasure to be climbing different trees all the time and in all kinds of places. I just love going to a job and seeing a tree that I have never climbed before or just a tree that looks fun! Im def not a tree hugger as those guys wouldnt even let a dead wood go forward. But I love what I do and being up there in my office is one of the best jobs in the world................

    landy

He hasnt got a leg to stand on m8. You sold it "as seen". He didnt have to take it but he did. If anyone can predict whats going to happen at any given time on a vehicle they would make a mint. The cold hard truth for him is he has to get it fixed. If you have the cash dont worry as its his problem now....

    promotion ?

Good effort mate. Hope it works out for you and get some calls:thumbup1:

    promotion ?

Not a bad idea mate. However if they see you outside promoting the business with all the kit it could come across that you are not busy (i.e. not good)! I am not implying this of course and im sure you run a great business but it may be how Joe public think! On the flip side it could be a great way, as you say, of getting the name out there. I would think Sat would be the best time as not a working day and will be most busy IMO. However you go, good luck and let us know how you get on. Cheers
  18. Got v wet this afternoon but infront of the fire now so all good:001_smile:
  19. Have mine on the harness and does get caught a bit but I think its worth it. Cut myself with the silky a couple of times and been handy to have it right there! If you get a bad cut high up having a blood stopper could be a life saver...........
  20. Totally agree. Was a great vid but as you say the crane would have been the better option IMO! All that hand balling of the timber would have taken ages and cost £££££'s. Much more efficient lifting it off and into a trailer or flat deck.
