Happened nye eve 2007 at roughly 11pm, north of Peebles in the Scottish Borders. Family of four were in bed and was blowing like crazy outside, then SMASH!!! The 2nd floor window on the left had two young girls sleeping inside and a branch punctured the wall missing them by inches. Was a scary sight inside the house!!! We sorted out a 190tonne crane, took the tip off and then just lifted the rest off in one, 2hrs and we were done. Root plate was non existent! Also got to dismantle loads of neighbours trees as they were all concerned in might happen to them but still a sobering thought -

I`m the same as HF, I just catch it early doors while eating my wheatabix and yeah it almost makes you go back to bed lol. At least tomorrrow they will be going on about the lions win and not Murray losing :-( . I tell you I dont miss reporting scotland down here as it was always soooo depressing!!!

Got some new gear from HB and Treeworker this week. Again have to congratulate the speed and quality of products. I still think its awesome that you can click on something and 24-48hrs later its on your doorstep! Cheers guys. I WILL BE BACK!!:001_smile:

Rory Bremner and Paddy Mcguiness were there filming their show. Think they were doing some sort of work climb. They flew in and out in a helicopter, pimp!

We got it this sat. Roberts and O`driscoll ran their back riot and will take it to them again. Jones in for Vickery to sort the scrum and come 4pm on sat it will be 1-1!

Nothing better than seeing the result of a pruning job imo. I go out of my way when I head home just to have a look see how trees I have done are getting along. Good to take pride in your work and enjoy the outcome! Its really not like any other job and I just wish more people would sit back understand, appreciate and marvel at the skills and balls we all have to do what we do!!! Also nice pics mate!

I got fed up of people not getting back. Now I just say on the quote that it is just valid for three months and the return due to it has been a lot better!

Anybody going or been this week to the Cheltenham festival? I have stuck in morning jobs this week to see the racing in the afternoon. Been lucky so far so keep em coming. Tomorrow I am heading along with some mates for plenty Guinness and a good days betting hopefully!
