  1. Try to find out subjects they are concentrating on, when I did mine there was a lot going on with the high hedge law etc. Read up on as much current changes, legislations etc within the industry, the rest will be luck of the draw - hopefully there will be questions that suit you and your experience. Good Luck!

  16. My thoughts exactly! I have an operators licence for the 7.5t and have 2 transits parked up over night (out of sight hidden by hedge) I park my 4x4 on my drive at the front of the property so shouldnt matter. My guys park the cars in my yard during the day which is off the public road and out of the way. We do some log splitting on a Saturday partly for personal use but we do sell too.
  17. BIG JOE passed today, congratulations !!
  18. I had heard that, its not the financial side I'm so concearned about they have said I wont get planning to continue the use as an arb business. Looking for new premises and the added cost of leasing when I own a perfectly good yard ...where's SWB stress thread??!

  20. That is my personnal fire wood pile!...cheers, we have done all we can to improve is since moving in and this is the thanks you get from your neighbours! How many caravans can you have without planning?
  21. No we have been running it from here since 2001
  22. We have recieved a planning contravention notice from our local authority today as they think we have breached planning law by running the business from home. All fueled by our neighbours complaints! Does anyone else who runs their business/has a yard at home have any problems with planning etc? We do not have planning to work at the premises which as I have explained to the council its difficult to bring a clients tree back to the yard to prune it then take it back, we also have very few customers bringing the trees to us to look at! Any advice? I have attached a view of my area of yard which is located in the north of the picture behind the conifer hedge.
  23. Thats a quality site mate - a local Ray Mears!! ...fancy a trip to Corsica?
  24. Playing rugby was my pleasure - might sound cheap but cost me more in days off through injuries! A nice walk with a set of clubs suits me fine! 25. Cheers Martin, what did you do with the unit? Picked up any work mate?
