  1. No we have been running it from here since 2001
  2. We have recieved a planning contravention notice from our local authority today as they think we have breached planning law by running the business from home. All fueled by our neighbours complaints! Does anyone else who runs their business/has a yard at home have any problems with planning etc? We do not have planning to work at the premises which as I have explained to the council its difficult to bring a clients tree back to the yard to prune it then take it back, we also have very few customers bringing the trees to us to look at! Any advice? I have attached a view of my area of yard which is located in the north of the picture behind the conifer hedge.
  3. Thats a quality site mate - a local Ray Mears!! ...fancy a trip to Corsica?
  4. Playing rugby was my pleasure - might sound cheap but cost me more in days off through injuries! A nice walk with a set of clubs suits me fine! I also enjoy paying for Jos'e beer on a Friday after work!! We also spend a lot of time with the Horses, we have one for sale if there is any equestrian likes among us?....
  5. Cheers Martin, what did you do with the unit? Picked up any work mate?
  6. Typo - I meant Oak Its still the same question?!
  7. I'm going to do my best to find a camp site so we can park up with our crew, cant beat bar b and beers at the end of the day. Has anyone else found anywhere? Joe -your reservation is booked, its going to be cosy in there mate!!!
  8. What would you predict the amount of sound wood at the base of this Ash? We recently undertook a Picus on a mature Oak on the boundary of a sports field with laetiporus and decided on a thin and reduction of the end weight of a large limb over a target - looking at the picture not sure if this was sufficient!
  9. Chin up John, there is always light at the end of the tunnel!...things may seem bad sometimes but there is always something round the corner! I think I'm too stubborn to allow stress to get hold of me, although it does get frustrating when machinery breaks down or jobs dont go right - hey if thats all we have to worry about then sa ne fair rien !
  10. ...in that case I'm not interested in the mog or roof mount!
  11. Not long enough!...could someone pick up that soap???
  12. got any 185/R16's in that pile?
  13. No, in severe cases I think the punishment can be fine and imprisonment as its a criminal offence to take down a TPO tree.
  14. Worst case can also lead to imprisonment!
  15. would that be a bargain bucket?
  16. In that case if you could drive it down to Coventry so I can take a look that would be great!
  17. quality mate, got any shots from the front - does he have shades on?!
  18. even grandma...at the right price!
  19. I agree, however gaining AAAC does demonstrate through examination that the company works within the laws to current legislations with insurances, qualified guys etc. etc. which gives procurement an easy task in selecting contractors as they are already vetted to a "standard" I have noticed tenders specified only AAAC contractors can be selected, I also applied to get onto a few council approved lists only to find there are only recommending approved contractors!
  20. Running 7.5 tonne and transits at the moment, are you selling the roof mount + tractor? Mike, I've looked at lorry mount but think we would need to run 10t + without being overloaded then have the problem of hgv licence etc...do you not find your overloaded?
  21. Currently having a machinery/logistical nightmare, we have a contract which is bringing in more medium-large fells and I need a "lifter/loader" as most of the timber is pretty accessable. the next issue is mog or tractor...roof mount or trailer mount.....etc. etc. Any help/advice would be ace!
  22. what have you got on the mog trailer?
  23. awsome mate....beats the hell out of looking at Coventry every day!
  24. I have looked at these cranes, does anyone have one or had experience with them? Fuelwood page
