  1. Most common arb truck? Transit. Most common wheel shape? Round. Doesn't matter if you agree or not, these are facts, and there is probably a reason for this.
  2. Smooth, Ian. What lowering device are you using?
  3. Picture forum would be my wild guess as to where the best place to look for pictures might be.
  4. Autotrader vans has a blue Transit crewcab tipper 1999 for £1750. Says its 120 miles from my parents (Otterburn). Tow bar, drives like new (apparently!). Trade. Might be worth a day out?
  5. Nicked this from 'Cold Mountain', but I love it - 'Marrying a gal just 'cos she looks pretty makes about as much sense as eating a bird 'cos it has a nice song.' Ain't that the truth...
  6. I would disagree with that, although the 90 PS is a bit sluggish. You won't get nicked for speeding, that's for sure! Downside of a crew cab is a limited legal load capacity weight-wise (sub 1 tonne), but the volume they can handle is excellent. Tipper wise, avoid the scissor type ram, make sure it has a straight telescopic ram. Where in the country are you Egs?
  7. Tenner on the 6 dog, sorry, rope, here Justin.
  8. Rich, I hope you are happy now after 2 pages of people telling you what I said in the first place. You can come to bench club if you think you won't be able to handle the extra 0.7kg.
  9. Ditto Robert. Good luck with it, though. Crew cabs are well handy.
  10. Can anyone derail this slightly with a comment about the 441 CM? SOMEONE must have used one by now!
  11. Ordered new bar, chain and sprocket for MS200T yesterday, postie delivered them this morning. I'd forgotten that fitting a new sprocket on a topper is a bit more involved than my other saws, and hadn't paid much attention when I last saw it done! Quick call to Robert, and his over the phone instructions were spot on. Saw back to its best, cutting like a dream. Thanks again lads!
  12. Second that Lorry. Hate the vests, menace when chipping as well!
  13. This is a good point, and why I think they have their place in traffic/high public contact situations. Stevie, I do agree with your point, but I think you went too far when you had 'FBI' printed in massive letters on the back of yours.
  14. One of your better reductions Josh. Monster tree. Great job.

    VAT Rise

Don't register, but tell people you are (you can make up a number easily enough using the last 9 digits of your mobile no., for example). Hey presto! 20% more cash to spend on drink, drugs, ladies and porn every time you do a job. BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Busted! Need a new saying now....
  17. I believe Pfanner have sorted the zip problem in the latest edition of the Stretch Airs. A trip to the launderette fixing service and £15 sorted mine. They are expensive, but anything else is second best. Six pairs of ripped to bits Hiflex without a usable pocket between them taught me that.
  18. The trees we took down had the bark chewed off from ground up to about 6 feet Stevie, so the crown raising option wouldn't work. Firing paintballs filled with gravy at anyone caught 'training' their dog like this might be good fun, though! Oh dear, a neck shot!
  19. Sickening. We removed several mature cherries in a park in Ramsgate that were dead/dying after being ringbarked by these tossers training their 'attack' dogs. The owners need putting down.
  20. Steve Blair will have the definitive answer, being a Scotchman....
  21. A personal favourite - 'You can't polish a turd'.
