  6. I was a fan since the early days of Wham!. I thought some of his music was tut, and some was genius. He certainly had some issues, but he has given me a lot of pleasure along the way, including one of my favourite Christmas tunes. RIP George. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  9. Where are you mate? Stuart Dawes at Chilham have a good range, and if Dan is still there he's a good guy, but I had a bit of a fall out with them. Lamberhurst Engineering also know their stuff. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  11. Sycamore is a pretty good choice Vesp. I pretty much learnt on them because we used to get hundreds. Oak is overrated. I still get plenty of them. Prepared comp trees are lovely, but they are generally shaggy rough-barked bastards with loads of epi screwing up your throws and line retrieval. Medium size pops are pretty nice. If you can reach the tips you're getting there! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  12. I'm on the red Ian, it's Christmas. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  13. Hahahaha, it's character building for sure! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  14. You're a bastard Richie. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  15. I never use more than 3 gear loops. Rear for saw, Caritool doesn't use a loop, fig8 and rescue knife on one, wiregate for accessories on another. They're not life support, you can hang multiple stuff off them if you like. The big question is why would you let your missus choose a harness for you? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  16. Thanks J, saved me a job! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  17. Lister Wilder in Ashford for a few bits, but mainly Gustharts, Skyland, FR Jones and Honeys. They can get me parts quicker than my local dealers! Treeworker, Treekit, Clarkes and Acle Garden Machinery have all been great as well. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  18. He can't Joe, it's wrong. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  19. That's worrying Darrin. I bought one specifically to choke my rope SRT.
  20. It's worth talking to Felix on here. He's pretty well-rounded as well.

The NHS shouldn't have anything to do with paracetamol. Their staff should be trained to spot subnuts and tell them to get themselves away to the shop to sort their hangover/Jeremy Kyle induced 'possible brain tumour' out. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.
