  1. Squat but chunky Corsican fell today. Just me and the Worky Quad. Twin stemmed, about 20” dia at felling points, stump left high to wrestle out with a 13 tonner. The building is being demolished and replaced. A fair bit of logistical juggling with two machines, 2 loads of chip and 2 heavy, but home by 4 in time to walk the dogs.
  2. I guess you and me won’t make the cut Mick. Pun intended.
  3. I knew it! These benders have a lot to answer for.
  4. No, that’s the Jews fault.
  5. Why does it ‘need’ a trim?
  6. Get in! Wordle 1,068 3/6 🟨🟨🟩⬜⬜ ⬜🟨🟩🟨🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  7. Still being a funny old year for sure. Red hot, wet, cold, dry, wet. Weather can’t put a run together. I’m lucky being on my own, I wouldn’t fancy having a crew to feed. I/we (as in the other lads I team up with on bigger stuff) have had quite a few chunky £2-£3k jobs cancelled or postponed. I have noticed on social media a proliferation of parasitic companies offering to ‘find you tree surgery visits from just £99’ etc., which hardly helps matters. Still way too many people out there pricing for wages, or less. I lost a gutty but straightforward conny hedge rip out I priced at £700 for two of us. Easy day time wise. 3 builder/gyppo types did it for £500, took them 2 full days. I have no wish to compete with that.
  8. Idiot. You’re throwing away a chance at a one.
  9. Didn’t you read Doug’s warning?
  10. Fair enough Dan. Your second word was much better.
  11. Feels like defeat from the jaws of victory. Wordle 1,067 5/6 ⬜🟨🟨⬜⬜ 🟨⬜🟨🟨🟨 🟨🟨⬜🟨🟨 ⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩

  13. I can’t see a problem if you wait until the following day.
  14. CRETIN didn’t fit. Wordle 1,065 4/6 ⬜⬜🟨⬜🟨 🟨⬜⬜🟨⬜ 🟨🟨🟨🟨⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  15. He doesn’t Alex. He eats it raw. @Mike Hill
  16. We need less people not more houses. Building on arable or pasture? How’s that going to work out in the future? It’s not rocket chemistry.
  17. Close one. Wordle 1,064 6/6 ⬜⬜🟩⬜⬜ ⬜🟩🟩⬜⬜ ⬜🟩🟩⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 You still beat me Doug. You idiot!
  18. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen Cobra bracing used for this application before. Ratchet straps would be cheaper, but you’ve got to think long term.

  20. Same here Mick! Wordle 1,062 4/6 ⬜⬜⬜🟨🟨 🟩🟨🟩🟨⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  21. You only knew it was Crawley because you quoted £15k.
  22. AHPP makes some very valid points, but £15k is still over the top. Hopefully you’ll get a keener quote from a reputable, qualified and insured company. Is £15k from door-knockers?
