  1. Of course. Happy to consider other brands. I’m fully trisexual.
  2. A recent conversation with @Blah on a mini loader thread got me thinking about an impact wrench for quick wheel changes. It’s definitely a want rather than need item, I’ve got by for over half a century without one. I’ve got Makita gear already, so just buying a bare unit is appealing. Prices go from about £90 up to north of £300. I think the torque settings on my Worky Quad wheel nuts are about 135Nm, but need to confirm this. The cheaper models top out at 190Nm, which SHOULD be plenty, but I would like to be sure. The pricey ones go up to 1000Nm, but I’m not working on CAT dozers. Any input welcome, or bargain other brand suggestions. Thanks.

  4. Agreed. I’m very jealous of my mates mk7 porn storage options. My mk6 is very minimalist. 1 flip down cup holder which annoys the dogs and can barely hold a couple of cans of Stella.

  6. They exist Doug. They looked at the immigrant thing and thought ‘We’re out’, then left. The thing is is @Johnsond gets a bad press on here from a lot of you all the time, but the truth is on immigration he’s spot on. It will ruin our country, and within our lifetime. Our kids will be screwed unless we sort it out, and fast. ’Import the third world, get the third world’. FASCIST! FAR RIGHT! RACIST! How about FACT?
  7. It is a gamble mate, but the occasional £1k kick in the nuts feels less painful than getting one every month!

  9. Easier on those days because far less trains will be running.
  10. Taking out any vegetation (trees or shrubs) that infringe, or are about to, on trackside locations.
  11. I’ve had TO’s that wouldn’t sanction the removal of a manky 50 year old HC 6’ from a 300 year-old house ‘until it displayed visible evidence of cracking’. They didn’t seem to give a toss about future blame or ramifications. My current TO who is a pragmatic tree guy who used to be on the tools. We have a great working relationship. I would disagree with you Mick, but only slightly. It does depend on the TO.
  12. Thanks Blah. You’re spot on about my current tyres. I’m getting the all-tracs.

  14. Cut him some slack, he’s only about 15!
  15. How can you appeal if they’re not responding? It’s a legal process with set timescales. They can’t change it to suit themselves.
  16. I think his warts and all approach is very appealing.
  17. I would say yes, but I’m sure Jules @daltontrees will be able to confirm.
  18. Very nice again. I like this kid. Calm in a crisis, isn’t he?
  19. I think what skews it as well is everyone thinking a ‘tonne bag’ is 1m3. Yes, I know they exist and yes, I know bags stretch, but most bags are 0.8mx0.8mx0.8m, which is 0.512m3 level. Most sellers round here says it’s 0.8m3 though! I’d say 1.5m3/tonne probably isn’t too far out. I’m extremely glad I don’t buy in!

  21. Nice one Steve. What did you replace it with, and what are your hopes for it? Don’t say another million quid, that will be 2027!
  22. It’s pretty sad mate. Good memories of polishing our school shoes with Dad on a Sunday evening. The smell of Kiwi always reminds me of this. Alas, doesn’t really happen with my kids these days. Still got an old school shoe care box, mind. Mainly the Dubbin and Nikwax getting a workout now.
  23. Bit of a struggle after a good start. Wordle 1,270 4/6 ⬜🟨🟨⬜🟨 🟨🟨🟨⬜⬜ 🟨🟩⬜⬜🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  24. THAT is going NOWHERE!
