  1. A 48” bar would make the battery last even longer.

I’d disagree with that Jack. My Little Giants extend to about 12’ fully extended and feel sketchy as hell ‘sideways’ if you see what I mean. They’re heavy as hell as well. Tripods always seem more stable to me.

That’s what I’m leaning towards Alex.
  4. @Steve Bullman that’s about 20 minutes from me if you fancy an away trip.

  6. And swapping 1/4P to 3/8P would make it even more powerful than that.
  7. Wow. Just think if he put a 48” blade on it? It would be even more powerful.
  8. I’m definitely a Nazi then.
  9. Did you spill my pint?

  11. I think you’re asking too much with a 14” bar. Is the sprocket 1/4P? We’ve found the best combo to be standard Stihl 10” bar for the 151 with a 57DL chain. Fits straight on and works a treat.
  12. 2511 is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made in arb. Run it on 10” bar (24” if you’re American) and 1/4P and never look back.

  17. Grab rotates just under the yellow sticker, headstock remains fixed but can tilt up or down. You can pick up a log like a battering ram and tilt so it stands up vertically.
  18. Busted. No further hornet attacks.
  19. You did well with a 3 today Doug.

  21. If you’re not prepared to commit yourself in here every day like the rest of us you should go off and start your own thread.
  22. These were European. Shame they had to go really, they aren’t usually a problem. Asian ones are a different matter, apparently they can kill up to 50 bees every day! I’d destroy those bastards without a thought.
  23. I know! Could have been a lot worse.
  24. Dropped a big oak this morning with a GRCS and 5:1 twin pull. A minute later Ross Smith got nailed by hornets on his arm and nose. Nest in a cavity about 25’ up, which he had climbed past to set the lines. Called in a mate who does pest control, no option but to spray them. You can just make out the larvae wriggling in the combs. Back tomorrow to bust up the stem. 80058ebd-8bd5-4b29-bf3a-ecb44a731694.mov
