I know many won’t want to hear this, but if Trump gets in he is probably mad enough to end this shitshow by doing some kind of bonkers deal with his maniac Russian friend. Total ceasefire/withdrawal for his 4 year term. Then probably worse to come…. I think the war out there is still worse than we can possibly imagine. Worse than the Strictly Come Dancing scandal, if you can believe that.

SRT is also twice as safe because there is only one rope to cut instead of two, so 50% of the risk. -

Joking aside, it was the fuse! Thank you very much Duncan! As said, a bit of a fiddle to get to, but swapped it out (you could see it was blown), and the machine fired up straight away. @Jase hutch, thanks very much for the photos, made my life a lot easier. I’ll warm the machine up for a couple of minutes tomorrow, then do the oil service. Can’t see anything obviously shorting that caused the fuse to blow, so if it happens again I’ll have to look further. Thank you to everyone who contributed. Arbtalk really is a powerful resource. 💪

I can’t think of anything else that would shut the machine down when it was stationary, level and already running.
