    Good afternoon. Snapped the spring in my old Sandvik lopping head last week, and it's time for a replacement. I'd drilled it so it fit my Silky Hyauchi telescopic poles. Does anyone know if the Jameson head will fit onto the Hyauchi system without (too much) customisation? I've got Jameson poles as well, so this is the head I'd prefer. Please don't mention the 'Silky' Sintung head, it is a truly awful pos. Thanks.

    Mine was great out the box, but a pig to start. Much better now I've adjusted the H & L with Amazon D-shaped carb tool. Still prefers it with the chain brake off, like. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

    Mike that's the most stupid advice I've heard. Each case is different. Yes, physio can help enormously, but in some cases (like mine) it can make things worse. Much worse. MRI scan then LISTENING TO a professional medical opinion by a consultant who fully understands what your job entails is probably a better bet.

    Don't dig the stump, dig everything around the stump and it will free itself. It must be some stump if you can't fettle it with a 15-tonner.

    I think nearly every company top I've been offered has been a cheap, scratchy polo shirt. Polo shirts are crap for actually working in. Tim, that's the way to do it right enough.

    That's not really the point Bill. If you trash a £150 rope with one because the cam is too aggressive they will suddenly appear to be less of a bargain. They might be fine, but I'd rather save up for something decent and not take the risk.
