Well done Andy, bit by bit you will get there! Any nurse pics?
  3. Yeah mullered it with a grinder to get it out,mud guard Un bolts but you will need to cut a bit out round the radiator mount to be able to get the new tank in.
  4. If I remember rightly a new tank is about 150 quid and is a right pain to fit,I fitted a new one about 4 yrs ago after a blow out knackered the tank.
  5. Lol Just buy some rubber tipped pruning spikes......problem solved!
  6. Silly me ...yes would be a waste of paint! On these trees I use RT's so don't have this problem.
  7. I agree, how anyone can work for the wood is behond me, how many garages will work for knackered parts the weigh in ??????
  8. Took 7 bags out today, be about the last this season I reckon, 150 so far seasoning for next year.
  9. Yes that's the same in most places, the 4 councils I deal with won't accept a quick email saying your going to do it it's always a form.
  10. No you don't, it's the same form but you are issuing notice of intent, the only way they can stop you is by placing a tpo on the tree
  11. And no I wouldn't put a notice/app in unless I had won the job.
  12. Thats standard practice and the only way they can stop you doing the work.

    Lost out

Price isn't everything and to be honest if you go to cheap it can put people off, 250 seems cheap but I guess it depends on the size of the tree. How long was it going to take and we're you chipping etc, just interested?
  14. And for me, sorted a claim fast when I had 2 saws stolen from site.

  16. Haha Rupe were not knocking the work and I guess people are the same in most areas .
  17. Haha surely it must be an mpo????
  18. Nice work Rupe but I would struggle to get that past customers round me
  19. Are you not going to cut anything off?
  20. Ros'e mark is where it's at!
  21. Shame, think I will stick to husky and stihl.
  22. She asked if the would be ok WTF you going on about its bloody abvious a builder has butchered them .
  23. Seen loads of plum topped and they just look like bog brushes in a few years , topped limes are just as bad they end up looking like a rats nest as for willows and conifers they can look ok topped and grow for fun.
