  1. You can't do cs38/39 without doing cs30/31 first so your looking at a good chunk of money to do it properly, either pack in tree work as with out the proper training you p/l insurance will be worth nowt or worse you will get badly hurt or do what most guys on here have done, invest a good few grand on training, blood, sweat and hard work and do it properly. You get very few second chances with trees and chainsaws! Why do gardeners and Landscapers insist on doing tree work, you never see roofers doing plumbing or joiners fitting bogs! sorry having a gen rant not aimed at you mate.
  2. Never cook Potato and pea in same pot............very unhygienic!
  3. Yes i tend to agree, a lot of lads would of "kicked off" cos it didnt work in a flash, i only wish people with no idea at all would seek advice on the very basics like the leaking oil and starting before playing around. The fact that it wont rev cos the brake is on and he's messing with the mixture says it all. It may be better if he leaves the bar and chain off the saw and just chucks at the tree, will be safer!
  4. All that army training Dean and you get done over by an OAP...........laffin me tits of here. Joking apart though there are some v.v strange people young and old about.

    a big old husky

Should be ok till you want parts or pots and pistons etc, bet the anti vibs are bad aswell.
  6. Failing SBK try drilling lots of holes in the stump and pouring gallons and gallons of diesel down the holes, been told load of times this make stumps die and dissapear!!!!
  7. He only splits kindling on his though not logs, being a dwarf they feel like logs to him.
  8. Same here. he will probably have to put the saw through the big rings to break them down abit before puting them on the splitter. He will be better off getting something with more power really rather than maxing a 5t out.
  9. Deffo a fuel problem, i had a problem a few weeks ago with an old Jonsered saw i use for logging down the yard, suddenly started dying at full revs, went through the usual like you have turns out the origianal fuel filter was still on after 10 years and although you couldnt see it it was not letting enough fuel through. Fish the fuel line out of the tank and take the filter off and try run it and see what happens.
  10. I had an LDV once...............thank god they went bust:laugh1: Maxus look ok but never been in one.

  19. Stick a conny in, that will grow fast and give lots of shade!
  20. Thanks Mike, i run 2 026's as ground saws and love them, the anti vibs are the thing that lets them down though, never felt sluggish to me to be honest. when these get over here i will upgrade the 026's for sure.
  21. Yes your right Liam, the new ones are the model number and size eg 2265 etc
  22. Will add a link on mine Steve.
  23. If you need pot and piston look on ebay for non gen stuff, i have re built loades of saws 2 j/reds 625 mk2 stihl 660 and 440s with no problem all run spot on,for a fraction of the price.
  24. Know the feeling Dean, i used to sell quite a bit on the bay but as you have shown there is hardly any point with the fees they charge, i mostly buy now off ebay and sell locally, word of mouth etc. Its an easy sale thats the thing and ebay know it so they charge. Motor vehicles are far more aswell.
  25. Jonny, when you get it let me know and i will pop over am also intrested in the quadchip.
