  1. tool and hired in plant = Bartletts 110 tipper = NFU transit tipper/public liabilty= trust
  2. Try Fantical one of my guys is 6 foot 8 and they fit perfectly. He s had stretch airs etc etc and these are the best. Build quality seems much better than the other brands too.
  3. You have to look at the type of work you do and only you can decide. Like most things they have pros and cons. I am very lucky that I have a single cab transit and a landy 110 tipper. The transit legally carries 1.6 ton and the landy 1 ton. I don t think I could operate without both now it cuts down on a lot of man hours. If you can get a 130 with all ali tipper body then I would reccomend it as its so much more practical. Shop around as so many tipper bodys weigh different amounts depending how they are made. Like I said only you can decide.
  4. Thanks guys They all seam over an hour away so need to be abit closer. will look on the net must be closer as we won t finish on site till half fourish or later thus they will be closed by the time i get there. Thanks
  5. Hi I am working near Harleston for this week and will be needing some more equipment for the jobs. Can anyone reccomend a good suppilier of kit whilst here as one of my guys already needs new boots. Cheers Name number and location would be great.
  6. My mate runs a couple of landrover series 2b forward controls with tipper conversions and they will take some beating. With a 200 tdi and a galvanised chassis they are both economical and will go anywhere you point it. Just looking out for one for myself or a 101.

  11. red maple acer rubrum
  12. Don t feel bad about it he has no leg to stand on. Legally your fine. Its a private sale so there is no come back. If you had been a dealer and it was sold as seen then its a different story as they still has responsibiltys. Tell him politely to get lost.
  13. After posting this and chatting to a few people it does seam that it would be some other firm. All i say is that they can t be doing to well to do such a thing. Its a shame they did not just knock them over or put them to one side not nick the things. If i had turned up and they were just on the floor I would just presumed it was the wind. Luckily for me I am booked up six days a week for the next month solid so its not like they will effect me. Just out of pocket a couple of hundred pounds but this is not the first time you win some and lose some. My main concern it that they may use them for some form of credibilty then I will be really pissed. I just hope they have been distroyed yep I am out of pocket but least no other person will be using them.
  14. They just had my name, contact details and website on. So not much use for anyone else all I can presume is someone felt threatened by me being there.
  15. Thought I would start a thread for peole to comment on stealing. I ve just been victim of theft for the first time today. I know its only small compared to what some people have had recently but theft really gets to me. I had my advertising boards nicked from the side of the road next to where we have been working. I only got them recently too so i find this rather frustrating. Checked nearby hedges but no sight of them. Worse thing is I was doing the job as a favour for some one so money on it was tight to begin with.
  16. Nice good job did my 110 a while back with full chip box. With regards to tyres I know where to get brand new wolf rims and G90 s or ZXLs for approx £75 each.
  17. cypress aphid (cinare cupressi) Affects all you said not to sure about westerns don t see why it wouldn 't some one else may be able to answer that.

  22. 300 for transit tipper fully comp any driver over 25 with trust. £235 landy 110 tipper fully comp with the NFU.
  23. go to ropeworkuk.com and drop them a e mail
  24. Don t worry mate anyone those who know me knows that I tell them how it is. I been in trouble with powers above for it. I gave up teaching in august to concentrate on my own business. I know what you are saying but the fact of the matter is its not the college staff so dont have ago directly at them but if Industry and education can work together rather than against in the long run surely this is better for both.
  25. With regards to the original post I don t think Gimmer was asking for opinions on the job it was purely an advertisement. Yes he has put it on a forum and people are free to have your opinions but on a forum like this with some highly skilled and experianced people on it I would have thought better of them. Colleges are restricted due to government and do not follow industry trends with regards to the pay. It s an excellent job for the right person who if they fit in well can progress very quickly and up their salary. Colleges could do with support from the industry not criticism like what has been mentioned. I was in this position for four years(full time and part time) and had 3 years experiance before. It really is a great position and you really access what you do yourself in the work place. You come across lots of great students and alot of bad but when you see them progress and succeed it is a great feeling. Yes I did not have a great amount of experiance to get into the job but I dont think you really need it as you are there to teach the basics and to get results. The criteria was fresh in my mind from being a student so I could then pass on this to the students. I don t know it all who does but I had some amazing results of which I am very proud of. So arb talkers if you are looking for a new challenge and think teaching is for you all i say is ignore the negitive comments send in a appliction form and give it a go. Like any job it has it s highs and lows(pay is one of the lows) but the rewards can be great. There is a possibilty of living on site in one of the houses and I believe those with family go to the top of that list. Good luck the those who could be really interested and hopefully not put off by the negitive comments of some.
