  1. Hi Guys Had some gear nicked from site today in Finchampstead. It was 25 yds from where we were working in the back garden they stole it right in front of us. The list is as follows 1 x Husky 281xp with 28inch bar 00459 2 x Stihl 200ts 11299673301bs and 148178522 1 x Husky 576xp 24inch bar 091100113 1 x Stihl br420 back pack blower d-71336 42059673300as My climbing kit in a camo bag petzl sequia harness and klien spikes welded to size with velco buckingham pads. And loads of rope slings karbeeners etc. the two others working with me lost 1 weaver harness and silky. I stein bag with gear but not quite sure what he brought that day will know more tomorrow. Keep an eye out if you could for my stuff and yours. We could see it clearly where(it was in the back of a canopy on a l200)we were working they must have been hiding and just when the had a oppertunity they took it.
  2. I have an issue with storage. I am currently renting a council garage to store all my kit in. Due to local busy bodies the council are not happy with it so have to move. I have a few other options but none as cheap as that. Can I be cheeky and ask what sort of money people are asking nowadays for secure storage. If you don t want to post please pm me all advise would be appreciated. Thanks
  3. And if you need directions just message me.
  4. Its part of redwoods and they are a large Jenson main dealer and recently bought into Orchard hill and do some great prices on kit. I have used them quite abit and so far so good.
  5. How much can the Isuzu legally carry.
  6. Why would you bother. I would sell your ninety and get a nice one ten. Get a really well built tipper to follow the lines of the truck so will be good for visabilty etc. This would be better towing have a better load carrying capacity and even better resale value for the future. I think you would regret cutting up a perfectly good ninety as I dont see how that could become a usefull tipper. But hey each to there own.
  7. Hi Would a large hazel coppice stool(4ft across) still be covered by the conservation area rules even if it none of the stems are larger the 7.5cms dbh.
  8. Not quite to do with landrover dealers(had enough of them in the past) I went to a commercial sales place near Aldermaston a couple of weeks ago I went in with a transit that originally came from them and I wanted to take a canter and a cabstar out to have a look at. When I asked they said why would i want to do that. Told the dealer to stick it as I had the money in the bank to buy one in full but as he doesn t want my business i ll be going elsewhere. Shame really they had a good selection of tippers there.
  9. I ve got one thats badged as a Yale winch with a 3.2ton pull. Very handy bits of kit and definatly worth having. I ve used mine to pull medium size stumps out and pulling large leaning trees over.
  10. Sorry can t help on price got mine fully fitted for free. Even though I bought it as a second hand machine 8 months before it needed it. I was very lucky.
  11. I have one of similar age and my local dealer fitted a new version for me.
  12. You should get an exchange one for about £120-£150 quid if you shop about.
  13. You really won t do any better than NFU for service and price.
  14. I wouldn t even let you have that one. Don t worry I ve got some coming that I need you for. Any way the job was in Norfolk a bit far for you to come. Besides your other job keeps getting in the way.
  15. Hi guys many thanks for the help its been sorted now.
  16. Hi I am currently working on a caravan park up in Norfolk near Harleston. Its possible that I ll need a mewp for a day to sort out a large cracked oak limb unfortunatly its far too dangerous to climb. It will need a decent reach as the branch is hanging over a caravan can anyone help with a contact to hire one. thanks.
  17. Blacks tecnicals for £35 but when climbing skins the best waterproof and its free.
  18. Hi I have a transit tipper w reg 2000 with 84 k on the clock runs great I am looking to sell next month and will take 2k no offers. Call me on 07737617963 if interested.

  19. Any Idea on price for the Jo Beau as it looks good. But only if the price is right
  20. if your doing cs 30 and 31 you can only use a maximum 15 inch bar. With this you ll have a cracking saw. Don t piss about with a 180 if you already have a decent saw. Most courses provide with kit any way so find out first before you decide.
  21. Hi the springs you need are 130 spec with helper springs this is what Land rover special vechicles put on as standard. So you know they are going to work. You could have air bags fitted but then need a compesser all adding to cost and weight. Paddocks and mail order 4x4 seem to be cheapest around.
  22. GRP looks like a winner so far. thinking about lining it with 2 mm ali just for half the height in the back just for some more protection.
  23. I am thinking of redoing my chipbox on my 110. Its currently one made out of steal(bought the whole thing off e bay including pump and ram etc) but is quite tall and heavy. I want to make sure that I can make the most of it capacity so want to make it lighter. I have 2 options as I see it go for GRP and Ali frame or out of 100% ali. The tipping frame, base and subframe will remain steal for strength. What apart from the cost will the pro and cons of either.
