  1. thats a complete piss take go elsewhere. if you were in hampshire i know a guy that will do that for a fraction of that price. He will even make one rather than use one of the thin steel ones off the shelf.
  2. have you tried aviva. been really good on price for me this year.
  3. I maybe upgrading mine. Its a 2001 timberwolf 150. brand new engine fitted(cost over 4k) 100hrs ago and new style everything on it such as fins, rollers, control box. so basically a new machine with some old panels. I am getting more and more bigger contracts so thinking about replacing it. I would look at offers over £7200

  4. insurance runs like the lottery its only good when your numbers come up its a joke. I spend alot of time ringing people every year. theres no point in being loyal. i was with the nfu for my 110 tipper for years but it kept going up. I am glad i was able to help people its still alot of money but least its all abit more realistic.
  5. I am with Aviva and i am also 29. I pay £597 fully comp I ve got it on a multi car policy which has meant i ve got the 110 and 130 tippers insured for about 350 each. Any driver over 25 and all fully comp. I haven t used them for years but this year they saved me neary £700 altogether. can t complain at that. I used arbinsure last year and that was through aviva but this year they couldn't get close even though it would ultimatly be through the same people.
  6. opps just noticed it wasn t my one your talking about. My ad must have expired.
  7. It was for sale but decided to keep it. I will be making it into a king cab and modifying the tipper body. I will be selling the 110 tipper but not yet its still far to useful antil the 130 project is finished.
  8. Hi I have the following with my 3 trucks and have done some measuring for you. Single cab transit with toolbox L 2.5 x W 2 x H 1.15 =5.75 110 Tipper L 2 x W 1.8 x H 1.15 =4.14 130 crew cab L 1.85 x W 1.9 x H 1.10 =4.615
  9. I bought a cordless impact gun from ebay just to change the blades on my 150. Wish i had done it sooner its so easy. I take em off with it and then tighten them up by hand. simples.

    Boots

I have the husky technical boots and so far they have been better than any other boot I ve tried before. I ve had haix and meindal etc but 6 months in with these so far very very impressed.
  11. Here is a mates one with a winch on it he uses it for timber extraction for his firewood business.
  12. Hi There is a thread on here somewhere as I remember seeing it. Changing the plate is easy you can do that yourself. Just buy one of e bay and stamp it your self with the details(had to do this myself landrover wanted alot of money for it but the police of all people told me to do it myself). The problem is notifying the dvla i tried to update the v5 by requesting dvla default setting of 3499kgs for one of mine but they just sent it back to me unchanged. I think you may have to have a sva test by vosa if you want to go all the way.
  13. there she is.
  14. My 110 will be for sale as I ve just bought a 130. There is a picture of it on pg41 of the Land Rover Appreciation Group thread.
  15. yep just like that.
  16. Very smart 130s there people. I will put pictures of of mine soon I love it shes a beast. On page 41 of the land rover appreciation group theres apicture of my 110. I ve booked the 130 in for a re spray the same colour in the spring. (got a good mate who does it for logs. result) It already has a frame and heavy duty tarp for a chip box but its getting on a bit now. I am the 3rd owner so guessing its been there since new. I have some ali from my old transit so may use that and get it wraped.
  17. I ll be selling the 110 soon had loads of interest so far so it won t hang about. There are some pictures of it on here some where.
  18. Yeah its one idea but I was just looking for something a bit different maybe. Just not sure just yet
  19. Hi I have just bought a 130 double cab tipper as it will be replacing the 110 tipper I currently use. Its got a ali tipper already and I am looking for some ideas for a lightweight chip box. I have a few ideas but am wondering what other people have used. Ideas and pictures apreciated Thanks
  20. Thanks. I ve been admiring the tree for the past couple of yearsas it was in excess of 100ft and multi stemed. I haven't seen any evidence of fungi until now. Its on a community woodland and when it came down it wrote off a car(luckily parked), took a chunck off a garage and wiped out a hedge.
  21. Hi I am wondering if anyone can id this fungi. It s on the roots of a fallen pine tree that fell 2 months ago.
  22. With fuel costing what it does and the fact that i am getting very busy I am looking to get a small van. What would you reccomend it will be used for day to day running about and quoting. I know you ll get a better car for the money but due to tax advantages it makes sence. I have thought about a feista but not sure. Whats your thoughts and what do some people drive.
  23. Hi I have a 150 that I am thinking of selling due to needing a bigger machine. Its done 1300hrs but I replaced the engine, rad etc 100hrs ago due to the old one over heating. The engine was brand spanking new and cost excess of 4k. Its practicly a new machine on a old base. Call me on 07737617963 for questions I live in winchester, Hants.

  24. Well I had it on demo and I decided it wasn t for me. Also it broke as it hit a small amount of metal. I ve now bought a vermeer 252 and broke my budget but its a much better machine.
