  1. Timberwolf s have a emergency shut down if they overheat. Sounds like you may have a engine problem just like i did back in Jan. The coolant s used had been of a different type mixed and made a sludge blocking the cooling pipes on the main block. It cost me a new engine so if i where you I would check it out. Kubota engines are not cheap.
  2. Hi I have recently replaced the hydraulic motor and have noticed what i would call excessive wear on what I would call the insides of the roller body. What is the part number for this bit and would you advise replacing any other part at the same time. Also do I need to take the hopper off or can I take the roller box apart under the black plastic guard. I look forward to your advice Thanks
  3. 576xp is excellent I ve had two(first got nicked) I run a 24 inch bar on it and its a stormer. I am thinking for the winter to see if I can put a 16 inch on it for logging down the yard it will be truely awesome.
  4. I have just replaced the lower hydraulic motor and need to find a couple of new smaller diameter roller box springs. My machine is a 2001 and they came as standard then, but recently had to replace with the newer larger diameter ones. The new motor pipes will not allow the new ones to fit. Can you still get them. Thanks
  5. Had the demo the other week from global recycling in some ways it was impressive but overall not for me. I got a ex demo vermeer 252 in the end for not alot more money.
  6. You should't give up on people. One simple test to see if its verticillium wilt will be to cut back a section and see if there is any brownish staining inside. One other option is chemical damage, whats the tree near has any spraying or unusaul activity that could have affected it. hope that gives you a clue.
  7. its running on 750s at the mo dosen t feel low geared. can get diff s cheap as so many discos being scrapped. Or if you can get them run it on 900s theres enough room

  10. After months of messing about and thinking to much about it i took the plunge. Bought a ex demo vermeer 252. Having hired lots of different machines including the rayco equivilent for the past few years i decided that this was my best option. Didn't fancy a small manual machine i am to lasy. I am now looking forward to using it. i ve heard very good things is there any tips or things i should do to keep it going for longer.

  18. hi how much are you looking for the tractor.

  19. You may have to have the alloy housing replaced also. I had the same problem with 3bearing changes in 100 hrs. Contact redwoods as they have sourced some better bits and bobs for the replacement from germany at better cost than timberwolf. I would highly reccomend them.
  20. Look at overland with the arb truck its based on a 7.5t Canter which i think is on either portal or simca axles so its 4 wheel drive. I ve hired it and its impressive.
  21. Last year i paid £280 with NFU for a 110 tipper nows up to £418 but for £512 i can insure a disco 3 wheras a 300tdi disco is more. Insurance is a lottery and a joke no wonder so many people don t bother.
  22. I bought one second hand 3 years ago for £90 been excellent would highly reccomend it. I have the 3400kg version and it seriously pulls(have pulled large leaning trees at 45 degree angles over the other way). Plus parts are easily available. Buy one they will not disappoint.
