  1. If its had a bit of a rattling around I would be tempted to replace the bolt and maybe consider a bit of thread locking solution.
  2. You have to make sure all the fasteners are tight, a chipper is fundamentally an act of violence, designed to shake itself to bits. Time to check the rest of the machine over perhaps?
  3. Weren't you putting a winch on the mazda a couple of hours ago???
  4. That's ACE, can I get one with a couple of machine guns, and a grenade launcher attached please.
  5. Granted but then the bark isn't very oak like and the pinkness bleaches over time If it were oak I think there would need to be a couple more "ballast weights" in the bucket
  6. That Hornbeam looks like an Ash to me:laugh1:
  7. The whole shebang, you can walk in to the council and look at all the documentation.
  8. But if you are in a car that gets bumped, even as a passenger, the scum come at you in force
  9. There are no books specific to becoming a competent person, you just do the course (provided you meet the entry requirements). If you are ready you will know you are ready
  10. :thumbup1: Or I feel sure I would be talking the client into keeping the chip and donating the crappy log to the first "have you got any free wood" merchant that asked
  11. I like a roof and my tools to hand so it would need to be at my place
  12. I can do that for you I am in Oldham
  13. And you don't make money if you go in too cheap if you are moving the waste £400 minimum
  14. This is how I did the fuel filler, you wont have any issues as long as its secure and not leaking I like the trunion mount rams because you can get it all nice and compact. That frame is made of 40mm box and the frame holding the ram is 50mm

  17. The classic design for a tipper is a hinged frame that bolts to the chassis with the ram operating between the 2 halves. Its easy enough to fabricate your own
  18. I think the first thing to establish is why the failure occurred, if it was simply overcome by the weather then a reduction would be in order. Not much you can do about the shape just reduce what you have got left. If it failed because the limb was compromised it may be time to break out the big saw
  19. Is it a single stage ram or multi stage? How do you plan configuring it?

  21. I have had something like it for decades, poop flap and all, Made by Damart and called long johns:laugh1: Saw a young teen wearing one in a supermarket about a week ago, there were people nudging each other and sniggering.
  22. Ha ha If someone gave me one I would put it down the poop flap
