  1. A better question would be how quick can I stop
  2. Seriously speaking, and assuming this isn't a wind up, using a chainsaw from a rope and harness isn't something you ought to be learning on a "suck it and see" basis. When it goes wrong it goes quick and badly If you are going to DIY it, rope wise Yale XTC is a good first rope, for lowering I would go with Teufelberger Liros Have a care, gravity always wins
  3. lebensmüde ?
  4. I a just a labourer with a chainsaw:laugh1:
  5. Since when, I lost my card last year and the quickest way to get another was just to re sit the idiot test. I booked it paid myself, sat the test and got the card in the post the next day
  6. Stay with CSCS mate, when I called BALI they came over like a right bunch of amateurs
  7. Invoice to go is well worth a look Mark
  8. Or when you trip you only ever land on your pride
  9. Why is it that when you nail that big throw first time...... NO ONE IS WATCHING:laugh1:
  10. My throwing is poor but I can take the nads off a fly with my bigshot
  11. No need to shoot them, you can walk up and catch them
  12. Feed the squirrels, feed them grain for couple of days to get them used to it, then soak the grain in a clear alcohol, drunk squirrels are hilarious to watch
  13. What he said:thumbup1:
  14. Arborist Equipment & Jobs | Wood Chipper | Log Splitter| Earborist.com
  15. If you don't know there is no point in me explaining it to you.
  16. Unbelievable, handed it on a platter and you manage to eff it up:thumbdown: Calm down, slow down and stop making assumptions
  17. Well I am not saying he is innocent and you do as you will but that's only enough evidence in a Kangaroo court:laugh1: My response was to the questions about what the police and ebay were doing and they cant do much without evidence
  18. Does anyone have any proof
  19. Well there is no warranty and no returns so that's more than its worth considering you can get a pukka one from a dealer for not much more
  20. Cable ties, tooooo many uses to list here, deserves a thread of its own
  21. I had a big dead elm pop on me once. It was so loud for a second I thought the tree had fallen in half, nearly pooped my pants
  22. Self splitting logs, how cool is that?
  23. Areldite and a 2p coin to fix a leaking core plug
  24. Sycamore often pops and bangs as it as you cut, its just internal stresses sorting themselves out.
  25. That's not a convincing argument Time wise, I don't make a special journey for saw fuel, I pick some up when I fill my vehicle, it takes less time than waiting for a costa to brew and it adds nothing to the visit because I make the groundie fill the can while I fill the vehicle. That increases his productivity so I save money by filling at the petrol station. Even if I weren't going to fill the vehicle there are filling stations everywhere it takes no more than a couple of minutes to fill a can and that's just part of your general overheads. I fill the fuel directly into the can I dispense it from so no need for another can and even if I did need cans and funnels and suchlike they cost pennies and last a lifetime. Net is no extra time or cost. Here is some food for thought for you, If I buy Alkylate from you my nearest supplier is at least a 1 hour round trip away so to make the journey anything like economical I have to collect it in large quantities or waste half a day (minimum) waiting for the courier to bring it. Its not cheap so I have to tie up a chunk of cash to do this, on balance that looks like an expensive way to do it. Either way its an investment in time and money that makes stopping to get a gallon on the way to a job cheap as chips.
