  11. i just double laminate a card that i made up with details on it and attatch it to the fence with a hammer tacker (stapler) they last ages.
  12. Ive no idea darren i thought it was 70K, but the figures were all hypothetical to show that you can be charging £450 a day and still not vat registered as it all depends on how many days you work. if i got away with it id work one a year
  13. it must have been your dad i was talking to at the apf then steve:sneaky2: i think genetics comes into it quite alot, some people can heal and recover quicker regardless of there age. Even if your mind and personality refuses to let you quit your physical attributes can, if you lose your grip through arthritis, carpal tunnel etc it does not make any difference how many times you tell yourself you can do it, if you cant grip the rope its a problem. keep going as long as your happy as life is too short to be miserable at your work.
  14. me, they can take what they want and after that im getting chucked on the fire. jobs a good un
  15. if you are working 220 days a year but you are only getting payed for 150 of them ( 70 days servicing/pricing) 150 days @ £450 per day = £67500 - under the vat limit, no vat to charge.
  16. Yeah but if you work 150 you are under the limit, the other 70 days you are servicing/pricing or watching the tv
  17. Done lots of conifer hedges with mine on and a few hawthorn!! i climb in mine, fence and the odd bit landscaping i find them tougher than most give them credit for.
  18. Burns great, although i find it tends to have a lot of sap on it seasoned, i put gloves on to lift it from the logstore.
  19. Huck i have moved up and down weight all my life to fit into competition brackets, small meals and often (6 or 8 per day) this speeds up you Metabolism try and stay away from the 3 larger meals per day, drink water if you feel hungry it can trick you head into thinking you are full, its calories in calories out. make a diary of your eating habits now and be honest, then count up the calories you consume in a day you will be amazed. So drop that by 20% and increase you aerobic activity slightly, nothing daft a brisk walk for 15 mins you will feel the difference in a month i would not bother with scales for a month as you can end up jumping off and on them expecting a quick fix and you just get dishartened and reach for the cakes ( been there ,done that!!). Slowly change your eating habits and exercise and it will come off, in fact i should take that advice myself as im a fatty now too . good luck with it.
  20. i hope there is more than last year, its brilliant ive got my sledges all ready
  21. ive got mine with lantra as already said the 7 ton is easier to use than the 1 1/2 ton digger, my assessor was more interested in me putting the turf back on correct than the safety!! you will be fine mate.
  22. im with talktalk ive never had a bit of trouble, i pay 19.99 a month that covers the line rental and ALL my calls i am on the international package so i can phone oz as long as i stay under 70min per call no charge, if i get close to 70min i hang up and phone again no charge and they throw broadband in with the package.
  23. thats just cruel looks like the burny fire for them so far
  24. i have 60 + squares of hardwood ( i think oak ) 9" x 9" x 3" that were used to pack up a water tank in a building i removed the tank and brought the wood home to burn, its been there for years so seasoned i have burnt a few and they are dry. should i burn the lot or are they any good to woodturners/carvers. picture below is what they look like they are all quite universal. what say you all?
  25. its hard to say man a pair lasts me ages but i dont use them every time to climb, but i find them hard wearing and use them alot when fencing etc. i suffer from a bit of white finger so they keep my hands nice and warm.
