  1. Natural talent. I would put money on her not being allowed to due to H&S & council rules.
  2. Is "carry pack" posh talk for "kindling net bag"? If so then a few in here do them, Kindlet for one & I am sure there are more too.
  3. So why dont they just say ONE? Edit to add. That Denby set up looks neat.
  4. If the rear trailer has a good portion (I think its counted as more than 20%) of its weight on the first trailer then the two trailers become "as one". So adapt the first to take the fitting & weight distribution (as it would be behind the wheels) & adapt the second so the weight is further forward than in a normal trailer. If you could only ever tow one trailer then in the section for cars it would just say ONE yet instead it says Ok one has to be classed as a towing implement so not all standard trailers can count but still the answer to the question how many trailer can a car tow is two if you follow the rules. If you cant meet the requirement of the rules then one.
  5. Trading standards know....
  6. In other cases when you cant read & understand rules & regs. Read it fully & you will see that it says that if the first trailer is adapted. Legally fitting a tow ball is an adaptation (see your insurance if you doubt this). Is secured to, well you would wouldnt you. Rests on, well all draw bars rest on the tow ball. The bad bit is its for recovery. Either way you would be mad to do it. 1, the amount of lost time on the side of the road with Police VOSA ect 2, the speed you can travel at is 20mph & 30mph on motorways
  7. Yes it can. Not end of. The towing trailer has to be design for its purpose (ie more of a towing implement than trailer) & in such a way that it takes the weight of the rear trailer & the rear trailer is designed to be towed in that manner. You do have to watch GTW, MAM or what ever its called now. See Item 7 PDF here Now I hope that this finally put this to bed. YES YOU CAN IF YOU FOLLOW THE RULES End of.
  8. My mate charges 70p per meter for 4 sided planing (inc T&G, moudings ect) If its a pattern he does not have plus the knife costs.
  9. Your start up loads for the 1000w angle grinder will be quite high (could be as high as 4-5 times the rated amount). A good make 2000w job might work yet a cheap one might not. Not sure why the file dint work when a load 3 times higher did. Oh & most gennies are rated in KVA so a 2KVA is not the same as 2kw (well it is if the load is the right sort but yours is not) de rate the KVA by about 70% to get a "real" wattage for tools.
  10. Yes but most of them in first gear low ratio & a high RPM to run the topper. Prob like 150000 or more miles in top gear
  11. Nice. The rotator will make it much easier to do stuff.
  12. What pressure is your tractor hydraulics? Have you got all the pipes in the right place? Is the return going back to an open port? For a start I would remove the return & put it into a container. Then try it. I had an attachment once that would not work. Turned out that the quick fit I was using for the return was under pressure as I had it set to two way action not single & I had chosen the wrong quick fit to pair it up to. Once I worked out which fitting went with each other it was ok.
  13. They could just be checking that you are legally allowed to work in this country.
  14. Sleep in it with a shotty?
  15. Get a Sheaff / Terex. They have all the rams on the top side so they are better protected.
  16. For the extra money get one of THESE I have one on a 3.5 tonne digger & its solid. Very hand. Better if you have a quick hitch so you can change to & from the bucket. Edit to add, I have seen thumbs on eBay for much less. Just not one on at the min.
  17. not quite as good as. Its only 0.729m3 so over a 1/4 short.
  18. Why dont you file it on line? Its quick simple & you get repayments faster too. Oh & you get an extra week to get it done.
  19. I think they say 6 months but the actual regulations do allow more time. So claim for 6 months with no questions claim for more & they check it out. I know when I went VAT registered with my first business I claimed on all the stock I had & some was bought a long time before. I guess you guys dont have much stock on hand. But the equipment you have bought recently should still be claimable (I think thats the 6 months). Here you go from teh horses mouth linky But do note the "generaly" bit. If you have good reason you can claim more.
  20. Ended up going out for the day with the family so dint move the logs. But I would say 3 or 4 would be the max in one grab.
  21. Thats the jobby. I have some 10-12" x 4 foot logs to move later I will take a pic so you can see how many I can get in it.
  22. Dont forget. Now that you are registered your running costs have gone down. So whilst your prices will rise they dont have to be a straight 17.5% on top of what you currently charge. Obviously you need to work out what your charges are made up of & work out the purchase VAT cost to you, you can then take that off the bill before adding the VAT to it. I would guess that your prices would go up by about 12-15% unless you are buying big toys. Oh & dont forget to claim back on all the stock you have on hand on the day you register (that have been bought in the last few years) & all the professional services you have used in the last 6 years for the setting up of the business (check the exact rules first cos I am not 100% on what they are).
  23. Not many. For that you need a log grab.
  24. If you are leaving the knot tied & the krab in I guess it would be ok. If you want or need to undo the knot the fig 8 is much easier to undo. How do you inspect the rope for wear at the point where the krab rubs inside the knot?
  25. 3 seconds sounds like a long fall. How far would you have fell?
