  1. Its built on to the trailer and powered by the same engine that runs the processor. Its a weimer (I think) 4100.
  2. We travel.
  3. Was that the one using logs bought by the net from tesco?
  4. Softwood loads are always bigger / more volume than hardwood ones. For then same tonnage.
  5. Dried wood, hard or soft all have about the same kWh per kg but soft is massively lighter per m3.
  6. Yet the price per tonne is only about £20 less for softwood. Thats does not even make up for the volume difference never mind the energy difference per tonne.
  7. I wish. Getting quotes of £2.6k to £2.8k + VAT IF they have any available in the next two months. Some possible cash deals at same prices so makes no sense if registered.
  8. But you need specific approved training to drive under that exemption.

    Jokes???

    Step ladder.
  10. We use 15-20 IBC in an average year. All our heat is from the wood fired rayburn. Hot water via solar for the summer & rayburn in winter Cooking mostly on rayburn if its on, the rest on lpg cooker that will use about 2 or 3 x 47kg a year.
  11. Did you find someone?
  12. I bought this one to run my hiab on my trailer / processor. GEARBOX 1:3.8 PUMP GRP2 ASSEMB 14CC 28.73 L/MIN 9.58KW 1 157.66 EACH 0.00 157.66 1
  13. This is an OEM pump but with a diverter added by me.
  14. You cant really go from kindling to oak in one go. You need to build the fire up to get some coals glowing first.
  15. I had a wp30. The engine direct drives the pumps. No pulleys or belts. Mine had a single, single stage pump. Manual says 200 bar max Look at pto pump for numbers to get spec. But you need the gearbox ratio to convert per rpm. I have one pic of the pump. Looking at it I would say its a type 2 pump. That alone limits its max cc per rev.
  16. Even if I dont do it here is a tip. Dont use the bucket to collect the logs. Even if its a 1m3 bucket you will be changing it every 15 mins loosing 5 mins while you do. Over a day thats a lot of lost production. 12t so lets call it 24IBC or 29m3. Without stopping thats 7 hours work. With stops its now up to 9 hours work. You will make the job slower & it will cost you more. Every time you move to empty the bucket production stops. Get a trailer that will take it all or two trailers or a stack of IBC's. Or plain old pile on the floor. This is one days production on this thin stuff After the second day on fatter stuff
  17. I can certainly do that. However we are a trip from there so travel & accommodation might make it too costly. Message me for a quote. https://www.facebook.com/RichFirewood
  18. You would need C1 & depending on use tacho & O licence. If you can keep under 100km radius & its tools & equipment for your use then no tacho.
  19. My old 5.2t Iveco Daily would carry that no bother. Had about 2.5t payload. Needs a C1 licence but they might be putting them in the cornflakes soon.
  20. What weight do you need to carry?
  21. I think they will go for removal of the test but mandatory training, but we will see. As soon as I know I will post in here (well after stopping crying with joy or sadness lol)
  22. All we know for sure so far is it ends today. My personal take is that they wont get a decision out fast like for the BE. They are now on the 3rd head of the DFT since the consultation started. The gov are falling apart so I think they have bigger fish to fry. We will see.
  23. Was on a processing job yesterday when this broke. Thankfully there was a local man like this Who could make this and save the day.
  24. I am thinking of either making one up upgrading the kelfri to chain drive.
  25. Better than no deck. They work. Down sides are the set up angle needs to be right. To steep & logs come forward to much, not steep enough & your manually moving them. Ok with small bits but not fun with heavy stuff. You need to be gentle loading if using big equipment / big logs. Dont drop them on.
