  1. REGULATION (EC) No 561/2006 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 15 March 2006 on the harmonisation of certain social legislation relating to road transport and amending Council Regulations (EEC) No 3821/85 and (EC) No 2135/98 and repealing Council Regulation (EEC) No 3820/85
  2. REGULATION (EU) No 165/2014 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 4 February 2014 on tachographs in road transport, repealing Council Regulation (EEC) No 3821/85 on recording equipment in road transport and amending Regulation (EC) No 561/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the harmonisation of certain social legislation relating to road transport
  3. Would that make it exempt? Remember its the use that defines it not the registration. It will have business use insurance after all or you have no insurance.
  4. In this case? I cant see any that would.
  5. Unless another exemption applies yes. You are outside the 100km radius from your base. Get it delivered to site.
  6. Tachographs should be installed in vehicles to which Regulation (EC) No 561/2006 applies. Certain vehicles should be excluded from the scope of that Regulation in order to introduce some flexibility, namely vehicles with a maximum permissible mass not exceeding 7,5 tonnes used for carrying materials, equipment or machinery for the driver’s use in the course of his work, and which are used only within a 100 km radius from the base of the undertaking, on condition that driving such vehicles does not constitute the driver’s main activity.
  7. Get TP to deliver.
  8. The law is from you main base.

  10. I cant see any options working bar kill the tree or move the wall 2+m. Any less will be short term buck passing.
  11. Been further. But normally to make it viable for you it needs to be a few days.
  12. Thinking of upgrading or changing your trailer or vehicle? If your not sure if your combination is legal on a cat B licence then use this handy guide. https://www.facebook.com/TrailerTrainingCymru/posts/2177495702510724
  13. No that is fine, Keep a note of this web page. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/towing-a-trailer-with-a-car-or-van/towing-a-trailer-with-a-car-or-van-the-basics Especially this bit Where the sum of the maximum plated weights of the towing vehicle and of the trailer added together exceed the plated GCW of the towing vehicle, this is not a problem as long as the ‘actual’ weights of the vehicle and trailer (which may not be fully laden at the time) do not exceed the plated GCW. Just remember that this is ONLY for C&U offences not for licences. For licences we use the max plated weights.
  14. We don't yet have trailer registration unless you are taking a commercial trailer out of the UK.
  15. Do you have the same rules in Sweden?
  16. Lots of Transit can only tow 800kg lol
  17. Not completely. This is wrong provided the MAM of the trailer does not exceed the unladen weight of the towing vehicle And this bit the same vehicle with an unladen weight of 1.25 tonnes and a MAM of 2 tonnes when coupled with a trailer with a MAM of 1.5 tonnes would fall within category B+E. This is because although the combined weight of the vehicle and trailer is within the 3.5 tonnes MAM limit, the MAM of the trailer is more than the unladen weight of the drawing vehicle. This bit is also wrong A test pass for subcategory C1+E upgrades subcategory D1, if held, to D1+E. C1E does not upgrade D1 to D1E, It used too but not now.
  18. True but in the first case the DVLA would be wrong & you would be driving illegally.
  19. Its easy, you are NOT legal towing that trailer.
  20. Slight mistake there...The towing vehicle would have to be plated to a mam of 900kg to make it legal to tow over 750kg with a 2600kg mam trailer Doh, yes your right teach me to post in a rush.
  21. If you ask the DVLA like this. My car weighs 2000kg & my trailer 1500kg an I ok to tow on a cat B? They will say yes. If you ask. My car weighs 2000kg but has a MAM of 2800kg & my trailer weighs 1500kg but has a MLPM of 2600kg can I tow it on a Cat B the answer will be no.
  22. MAM Not weight. Maximum Authorised Mass ie the most it is legally allowed to be even if not actually that weight.
  23. Official info direct from the gov website.
  24. Correct every one can tow 750kg plated trailers even if the car is 3500kg. As soon as the trailer is over 750kg then the max combined MAM & MLPM is 3500kg.
