  1. For 15m3 per year hire me in for one day.
  2. We charge that for one man & machine per day. Snap their arm off.
  3. I use Square. Main benefit is that you can do card holder not present transactions legally & it allows you to store details (securely) for re billing. Use this link to get your first £1k of takings free free. https://squareup.com/i/CARDONPHON
  4. I have seen a few exclude home made trailers & trailers over 85% ratio.
  5. Have you actually seen a legal doc that says they are exempt? People can in general sell anything. Its the use that is mostly illegal. Plus they can sell them as Agri legal & people use then for non agri illegally. This is what I have found re IVA. Article 2 Scope 1. This Directive applies to the type-approval of vehicles designed and constructed in one or more stages for use on the road, and of systems, components and separate technical units designed and constructed for such vehicles. It also applies to the individual approval of such vehicles. This Directive also applies to parts and equipment intended for vehicles covered by this Directive. 2. This Directive does not apply to the type-approval or individual approval of the following vehicles: (a) agricultural or forestry tractors, as defined in Directive 2003/37/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 May 2003 on type-approval of agricultural or forestry tractors, their trailers and interchangeable towed machinery, together with their systems, components and separate technical units (10) and trailers designed and constructed specifically to be towed by them; (b) quadricycles as defined in Directive 2002/24/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 March 2002 relating to the type-approval of two or three-wheel motor vehicles (11); (c) tracked vehicles. 3. Type-approval or individual approval under this Directive is optional for the following vehicles: (a) vehicles designed and constructed for use principally on construction sites or in quarries, port or airport facilities; (b) vehicles designed and constructed for use by the armed services, civil defence, fire services and forces responsible for maintaining public order; and (c) *****mobile machinery,******* (seems to offer hope but see highlighted bit below) to the extent that these vehicles fulfil the requirements of this Directive. Such optional approvals shall be without prejudice to the application of Directive 2006/42/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 May 2006 on machinery (12). 16. ‘mobile machinery’ means any self-propelled vehicle which is designed and constructed specifically to perform work which, because of its construction characteristics, is not suitable for carrying passengers or for transporting goods. Machinery mounted on a motor vehicle chassis shall not be considered as mobile machinery; Quotes from here https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=CELEX%3A32007L0046
  6. They still need parking brakes even when exempt.
  7. IVA guide https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/iva-manual-for-categories-01-02-03-and-04-trailers C&U is huge so you need to identify what you need & then search for that.
  8. Construction and use regulations. Individual Vehicle Assessment.
  9. PS even if exempt from an iva test it will still need to meet the c&u regs which are basically the same thing.
  10. The only exemption for trialed appliance I have found so far is for the brakes. I am scanning the IVA regs now.
  11. A quick read of the regs and a trailed appliance is actually an Agricultural Trailed appliance to be exempt.
  12. This is interesting Unbraked Trailers Weights The laden weight of an unbraked trailer used on the road must not exceed its maximum gross weight. It may only be towed by a vehicle whose kerbside weight is at least double the unladen weight of the trailer together with the weight of any load the trailer is carrying. Agricultural trailers and gritting trailers not exceeding 2000kg maximum gross weight and trailers under 750kg gvw are exempt from these requirements. Trailers outside these categories must be fitted with brakes if their laden weight exceeds half the towing vehicle’s kerbside weight. From here https://app.croneri.co.uk/topics/construction-and-use-vehicles-and-trailers/indepth
  13. I checked this re firewood processors and them being "plant". They don't come under that exemption. I think but need to check but trailed implement is an agri exemption so would not apply.
  14. Your going to build a trailer and not get it tested. There goes your insurance.
  15. Never said it was relevant. Just said it was possible.
  16. Its an old regulation for tractors like grey Ferguson's mf135's etc. That were never designed for towing. If I remember right the max trailer weigh had to be less than 50% of the tractors weight and it had a max weight too of sub again if I remember right 3000kg. Re the tractor speed increase I din't see any changes re tractor trailers.
  17. Will need an IVA test due to the alterations.
  18. Not just implements. Trailers too if the max weights are OK.
  19. i was thinking more an add on to the trailered bit.
  20. I found 795kg?
  21. Is that inc trailer?
  22. Only found up to the 130 on the website lol
  23. Trailer rules in the use are more like our LGV.
  24. I used to be of the same opinion re the overhang. After finding a new official doc recently I am now of the opinion that the over hang is counted in the max length.
