  1. I have emailed but no reply. Dont tend to have much pone time during normal working hours.
  2. Those hooks are only for lashing & sheeting not ratcheting too. They have a SWL of just 500kg.
  3. There would be no pipe. Eek I have seen what I think is a flow restrictor. There are lots of valves / diverters for different bits. With the ram still and chainsaw not running only the conveyor is using flow so using it on a splitter should be the same as using the splitter on the processor.
  4. I dont think I will need the full flow & the conveyor only uses a limited flow. I have the diagrams but to be honest its easier to just look at the pipes. I am slightly worried that any valve could stop all flow whilst changing over & cause pump damage if done with engine running. Preference will be to have the valve if needed just turning on & off the flow to the QR port. I could just un plug the feed which would be ok for jobs that are all for the splitter but not user friendly for mixed jobs.
  5. The conveyor does not seem to slow at all in use. Dont want to mess with existing valves as they need to be set up delicately. I wonder if it already has a flow through set up. Will need to follow the pipes to see how they split.
  6. What tractor? My processor is self powered.
  7. Not valving would allow the conveyor to still take logs away.
  8. Sorry no not run both at same time but be able to leave set up & use which ever one is needed without having to keep plugging in or changing valves. So with good timing a second person could make a split whilst the processor operator is dealing with other things. Slightly concerned the pressure bypass on the splitter could reduce flow & pressure to the processor so would then have to use a valve.
  9. Has anyone added hydraulic ports to a WP30 or 36? I have to be able to split big rings using the processor as the power source. Preferably switched ports / valves so they can be turned off when not needed. Ideally plumbing in so the machine can work at same time but prob not actually both working at same exact time. The pump has one in & out port so for full power I think there would be best for the feed & straight back to the tank return.
  10. I have no idea what you said.
  11. Try and find any official advise that agrees with trying to power out of it.
  12. And thats why you see so many crashed trailers / caravans.
  13. Trailers are most stable going up hill under acceleration & least stable down hill on over run. Too many people start at top of hill at max speed & then it goes wrong on way down. Keep control dont try to regain control.
  14. Not by speeding up In theory the trailer cant snake if you are pulling it so hard its got to follow but in reality you just crash at a higher speed Do not fight it. Do not change direction or speed by taking action. Damp the sway not fight against it. Let speed naturally drift lower. No brakes. No changing down initially. But better to prevent it. Correct loading of trailer & vehicle. Correct matching of vehicle & trailer / load. Correct nose weight & weight distribution inc vehicle boot load. Dont drive like your not towing. Use a vehicle with dedicated towing electrics so the cars stability systems can help. Use a trailer with ATC (other systems available).
  15. THIS
  16. You wire to reverse light to activate only in reverse.
  17. If you want an upgrade let SVtech do the hard work. They know exactly what mods you do or dont need & have all the correct info to fill in the paperwork. If its just paper work its less than £150 inc VAT.
  18. I though I replied to this. Below about 8" its hard to hold down as the weight / distance sticking out is greater than whats on the bed with just 1" still holding it. You could easily extend the holder. I am not sure why I have never done so.
  19. 1, Correct 2, For licences the plate weight is what counts. If you then load it over that weight you are in trouble for a Construction & Use offence not a licence one. 3, Correct 4, People with a pre 19-01-2013 BE can tow more than 3500kg if the vehicle is capable & the trailer has active brakes. 5, The tacho exemption goes up to 7500kg. The use must also be for the drivers own work to be exempt. They cant drop staff off & then go to another job. You still need to comply with GB working hours regs re rests. 6, b, yes 6. c, no. The cable is designed to apply brakes & snap. It will never hold coupling off the ground. 7, Only if its an Motorway. a 3 lane DC or trunk or special road you can use all lanes unless other restrictions apply. Hope that helps.
  20. The WP range has a plate to stop bad falls. With practice you can spot potential bad fallers before the happen & use the plate. I did an IBC today & did some short ones to see how it did. They were about 4"-8" dia & it cutting short none would fall bad unless they had odd shapes. As you will not do odd shapes for kindling you wont have a problem.
  21. But why does it matter if it falls right if you are not splitting it?
  22. Ah 6" long not diameter. My other reply was re diameter. But again re tipping, does it matter if you are just ringing up? Smallest I do tends to be 7-8" Dont have issues with that & as I said the machine has a catch plate so you can square drop them.
  23. Fine. If you have issue it has a support plate to catch the log & then you drop it straight. The ones you have issue with tend to be egg shaped or have branch stubs so the weight is off center & it falls odd. Or if you take to long to cut so it can tip. You would have more issues with big logs than small. With 6" / single splits I tend to cut 4 so they are all on top of each other in chamber & have 4 way set so it cuts all 4 in half in one go. If your not splitting as you want kindling you will need to fit something to get log over the lip that remains when you remove the knife. If not splitting does it matter if it tips? Its just going up the conveyor. For that I just cut loads till chamber is full & do a half split ram movement & then repeat.
  24. For arb waste stick to the WP36. If its your own arb waste you will soon alter how you cut stuff up to create better in feed stock. Extra large rings can be pre cut so they fit in the splitter. On paid jobs I can process arb stuff as fast as straight sticks if I have a good helper feeding me the bits. You want the person on the processor to never let go of the controls. It can reduce an 8 hour day from 25 IBC's to 15 ish if you are not set up right.
  25. Yep dealer is right. Motors take a lot extra to start up & get to speed. Rating is running not startup.
