  1. Even less if you are in wales due to funding.
  2. Owch. I can do you C1 for less than £1k all in.
  3. If you have any questions quote me so it sends me an email.
  4. Your BE towing entitlement does not carry over to the C1 or C so you would be limited to 750kg trailers until you pass C1E or CE.
  5. You would need CPC but not tacho if under 100km radius from base. Initial CPC will cost you £180 for the two course & tests with us. So not a deal beaker.
  6. Correct for personal use he does not need CPC. But he needs to do more than just the driving test. Medical Apply for provisional pass theory test pass hazard test (unlike car they are done individually) Then pass practical test. Yes personal use tacho exempt but not need for forms till MOT time. They decide road side if you use is exempt or not forms be dammed.
  7. Er no you need a C1 to drive that motorhome.
  8. As if by magic he appears lol
  9. Are you based in Wales? Do you need your BE licence? How does £227.50 sound? Price includes training vehicle & trailer and the test fee. We can also offer funded courses for C1 7500kg & C1E 12000kg.

  10. Well both of you are right. sort of ish lol 4250kg if the trailer is 750kg or 3500kg if the trailer is over 750kg & you have a B licence in both cases.
  11. Ah I see it now. You said from 19-01-2013 and it has given you the pre then spec. I just changed it and it has pre as limited to 3500kg trailers
  12. I think horticulture is a sub domain of agri. What's wrong with the info in that link? Looks like you answered some questions and it advised you.
  13. More of a concern is that Cat F does not cover all tractor use. Only agri / forestry & fishery use is covered. Use one to tow a boat or caravan, or for ground works etc & you will need a standard licence to match the tractors MAM & an E to match if towing. Small sub 3500kg tractors would be B & BE, 3501-7500kg would be C1 & C1E over 3500kg would be C & CE.
  14. True but at 16 you can take cat F as a stand alone test / licence.
  15. Or brake hard
  16. BE does not cover tractor use. Agri tractors are driven on cat F. There is no E for cat F.
  17. Twin axle?
  18. Is the MEWP rated to tow on the weight plate / V5c / by the manufacturer? What is it registered as? What is the actual real use? What licence are you using? On road or off? Can a MEWP be a tractor or is it an agricultural machine?
  19. 1, Yes 2, This bit QUOTE found a relevant advisory that stated the weight superimposed on the artic tractor did not contribute to the gross weight of the trailer for driving licence purposes but I'm not sure this is the same for the 1024 kg limit for operator's licence. You are applying a rule for one thing to another. 3, MLPM is Maximin Legally Permited Mass in essence the same as the MAM Maximum Authorised Mass for a vehicle. 4, QUOTE IRC the online checker restricts me to towing trailers of less than 3.5 tonnes but my B+E should not have such a restriction. The DVSA knows that this is wrong BUT they have no plans to fix it........... 5, Quote, I'll need to renew my licence in a year because of my age and it will be interesting to see what comes back. Will you be 70? if so you will lose all the D1 & C1 stuff if you do not take a medical & fill the forms in. You will keep BE.
  20. The 107 was added to all licences in 97. There was a period that you could claim the extra weight if you could prove your were using it at the time.
  21. So what's a car and trailer? Once coupled up they are one vehicle.
  22. Yes cars if towing puts them over 3500kg for commercial use.
  23. Whilst that was the interpretation the law never said that exactly.
  24. Not all of them will be. The posh end will just be cars. Some are pure commercial & DP does not affect tacho it can affect O licence. The DP is for carrying passengers & loads plus 4x4 affects it too.
  25. If you passed your BE before 19-01-2013 you have the same trailer limits as people with grandfather rights. Your second point makes no sense. The real weight of a trailer is not a licence factor so the applied load would not affect any licence condition re the trailers MLPM. It would not have any thing to do with the unladen weight for O licences as again the applied load is not a factor in the unladen weight.
