  1. I've looked at a few planning cases online and it seems not to work. The council sees Arb's as commercial. Does anyone have an my experience with that though?
  2. Cheers for the info. There's an old pole barn and stables and some Paddocks. I'm wanting to hardcore and road plane about 1 acre and put up a few barns. It's a massive financial commitment. I'm going to keep my current yard whilst it all going on in the back ground though. I run about 7 vehicles and 6 staff so we will definitely get noticed on the site. It's tricky for us Arb's it seems forestry is a lot easier with planning.
  3. I keep out growing yards which are very hard to find in My area. So in July I move into a four acre small holding with a house. I've chosen this site as there's very few neighbours about. Three of which are a farm and two warehouses. It's tucked out the way in leafy Surrey. My plans are to chat to the neighbours who are about 750m-1km away and get a good planning consultant on board. Lots of landscape thought in regards to planting of screening and native trees, soil bund, bat boxed, bee hives etc. I think I'm going to submit my plans to the council though before I do anything. Or I could end up majorly out of pocket. I've sat in on Parish council meeting as casually chatted to them who couldn't foresee any problems. But until the app. goes in who knows? Has anyone got experience in getting change of use from AG to commercial land?

  6. That looks a handy truck !
  7. Funny you should say that I'm just about to put an advert up for two new members to join my company!
  8. I've got the empty weight on paper at the yard. But like all 3.5t they don't hold enough. Ford have sorted the key and lock issues out on this model.
  9. Here's the finished job all ready for next week. I'm really pleased with everything.
  10. Ps. my other transits have been running for 7 and 11 years so they owe me nothing and I'm keeping one of them too. They just start to look a bit tatty after a while that's why I went for galvanised steel where aluminium wasn't an option
  11. I want to say about £29-30k plus vat each on the road. They are 170hp, that's with the rear sides and tool pod sprayed, sign written, leds front and rear, roof light bar, plastic fuel storage under box, light guards pretty much all the things on my wish list.
  12. Here's two pre paint
  13. Cheers they have been a long time in planning, the top bar the barn doors locks into is removable with a 2/3 length roof so I can load with my skid steer. All aluminium except the corner posts, tool pod and sub frame which are galvanised steel. I've got two of these beauties turning up next week freshly sprayed and sigh written.
  14. TGS in Bristol are good.
  15. Hi Al of you need somewhere to off load brick, rubble or hardcore I'm building a yard soon so need a couple of thousand tons
  16. Pictures and price please? I'm looking for a big chipper for behind my mog
  17. I have one and it's a great little tool. It doesn't lift as much as some machines. But it lifts enough to overload a 3.5 truck in a few lifts!
  18. Thanks for the replies me pms it all help
  19. Chees for the replies. People who don't turn up on Monday mornings don't generally last too long. When I was employed we had to give four weeks notice to have time off unless it was for things line going to the doctors etc. is this the norn? I was always told any less notice would throw a spanner in the works with the diary and booked in jobs.
  20. Sorry I put this in the wrong section so cheers for the heads up Mark . I'm looking for a bit of advice from employers and people who are employed in our industry. How much notice do you as a PAYE employed person have to give your employer for days off for holiday? And as an employer how much notice do you require staff to give? Do employers have a set period of notice or do they say try me and I will try to accommodate your holiday time off. Obviously with this unfair treatment could occur if one person has time off at short notice and not another. What's a reasonable period of notice to ask for time off? It would be great to get a few views on this. I'm talking about holiday time off, not going to funerals, my child's had an accident or my wife's in labour days off. Thanks everyone

  22. This happened to me and eBay said they can't force the seller to sell the item. Leave bad feedback if his account remains active and move on.
  23. My dad has a diesel powered one I remember him using it all the time when I was a kid. It's been barn stored for about 8 years since he stopped selling posts. They defiantly exist.
  24. Hi, where did you find the best place to get the toggle switches from? Thanks Here's my remote
  25. I keep plodding along at the climbing stuff one day it will all click into place. Apparently being quick at everything isn't a good thing but I never listen to my mrs!!! Cheers it's been a life saver on some jobs it even takes the pain out of shovelling stump grindings into a truck.
