  1. I believe that the pendunculate oak has stalks (as stated in The Beauty of Trees) penduncles are a fancy name for stalk

  13. That's it better planning! Less busy time of day, more ground staff.Let's face it, it's not very often people sneak up on you or into your work area, you normally see them coming are able to stop cutting/climbing and let them past, as annoying as it is!
  14. We do a lot of local authority work and come across this all the time, from all walks of life. Verbal advise and stopping operations is the only way to go. Safe work method is the ONLY work method. Imo
  15. Hey ,had it for 12 months at least, probably sharpen 2-3 chains a month with it
  16. I got the 1 mentioned above for the big saws, works fine, but can struggle at the end of the chains life, end up doing it by hand for that
  17. Yeah we had those conifer stumps todo and another 7 stumps that were about a meter diameter give or take, all done a dusted in 1 hr 40 mins and was waiting for the low loader! I had priced it for 2 days work with the preditor, so was quids in!
  18. Had this on a job a couple of weeks ago. 46 conifer stumps average 12 inches in 40 mins
  19. Horsechestnut from a few weeks ago Before After The spec was for 30% reduction, but I think it's more like 15-20
  20. Had this lil ash to tidy up at the beginning of the week! Decided to part company with the floor and bloke the road in Daventry
